How much does the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 cost?

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners repeatedly praise its excellent fuel economy, smooth performance, and spacious interior. That fits well if you want a full-size pickup that can work hard while still offering a wide spread of configurations. With 30.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have a reasonable chance of finding a competitive price.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that many drivers find dependable and trouble-free in day-to-day use, especially when it comes to comfort and performance over the long term. The strongest praise centres on its smooth driving character, fuel economy, and roomy cabin, which are all traits that tend to support confidence in ownership. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that feature omissions and camera-related complaints may matter more as the truck ages and you rely on its equipment every day.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on standout listings.

• Deal availability: 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 543 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.83% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $33,578 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500's resale value?

The current average of $33,617 CAD sits slightly below last year's $38,128 CAD.

That price drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit upside if you plan to sell soon. If you own one for a few years, the current pricing trend implies resale values may stay under pressure unless demand strengthens. Even so, trucks with broad appeal and strong owner satisfaction often hold buyer interest better than less popular alternatives.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.83% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $35,515 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $33,617 CAD average.
• It keeps the Silverado formula strong with loyal buyers and broad appeal.

The bottom line: Choose the 2020 if you want the better value play and are comfortable shopping the used market carefully. If you can stretch for the 2021, it may be worth considering for buyers who want to compare a newer example against the current-year pricing gap, but price-sensitive shoppers should start with the 2020.
