Should I buy a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.92% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $35,463 CAD, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $33,598 CAD average.
• It adds stronger market momentum and broader buyer appeal.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2020 if you want a better-priced truck with solid owner approval and decent deal availability. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2020 is the smarter path; if you want to compare against a newer option with stronger market pull, the 2021 is worth a look.
