Is the 2019 Mercedes-Benz E-Class a good car?

Yes — the 4.67/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Reviewers consistently praise its luxurious feel, performance, and handling, and many owners call out the smooth ride and powerful engine options as standout traits. The 2019 E-Class also fits well if you want a luxury mid-size car with a high-end cabin and a broad range of body styles and powertrains. With 34.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Mercedes-Benz E-Class reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a car that feels dependable in daily use, with many reviewers describing it as smooth, comfortable, and trouble-free over time. That said, the model range is broad, and some used examples may bring higher ownership risk if they have expensive air-suspension repairs or other age-related issues. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is choosing a poorly maintained example rather than the model itself.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Mercedes-Benz E-Class?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 148 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.06% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $40,141 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Mercedes-Benz E-Class's resale value?

The current average of $44,264 CAD sits slightly below last year's $46,136 CAD.

That softer pricing can be a good entry point for you as a buyer, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive resale environment if the market stays soft. The current range still leaves room for well-kept examples to hold value better than average, especially if they are priced near the lower end of the market. Strong equipment, clean history, and desirable specifications should help support demand when you eventually sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Mercedes-Benz E-Class or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.06% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of luxury feel, owner satisfaction, and current pricing, the 2019 is a strong place to start. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year may offer a lower entry price, but the 2019 gives you a compelling mix of desirability and market softness that can make it the smarter buy for many shoppers.
