Why it stands out
The 2019 Mercedes-Benz E-Class stands out because it sits at the heart of a long-running luxury formula that blends comfort, space, and technology. In this generation, the sedan was designed to look like a scaled-down S-Class, and it brought a high-tech cabin with a swoopy dashboard, circular air vents, and, in most versions, two side-by-side 12.3-inch display screens that create the impression of one large screen. Standard equipment was generous as well, with electric adjustment for the steering wheel and front seats, a rear-view camera, satellite navigation, LED headlamps, and a wide range of driver-assistance safety features. Buyers also had plenty of choice in body styles and equipment, which helped make the E-Class feel tailored rather than generic.
For 2019, the E-Class offered a broad spread of powertrains and drivetrains. The main choices included the E300 and later E350 models with 2.0-litre four-cylinder engines, plus six-cylinder versions such as the E400 and later E450, along with high-performance Mercedes-AMG variants. In Canada, most versions came with 4Matic all-wheel drive as standard, though certain models used rear-wheel drive, most notably the Bluetec diesels. The car’s appeal was not just about straight-line pace; it was also about the way it packaged luxury and everyday usability, with a reputation for being beautifully built and generally reliable for its age.
There are a few caveats for shoppers, though. The E-Class was expensive when new, and used examples can still command strong prices. Some owners have reported shuddering brakes and glitchy infotainment systems, and air suspension-equipped cars should be checked carefully because repairs can be costly. Even so, the 2019 Mercedes-Benz E-Class remains attractive because it delivers a polished, upscale experience with a strong mix of comfort, technology, and performance.

Amazing and capable car. Coming from a BMW m5 this tops it in my opinion.

Solid as a rock. A real cruiser, pretty low to the ground but the interior is as impeccable as an Italian suit. Except it is German! Quiet, composed and no one can tell how old it is. Bought it as a second car, and it shines. Run flats are noisy, may need different tires but so far that’s it. Get one that has been cared for.
