Used 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class for SaleNationwide

How much does the 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class cost?

Prices have softened 8.62% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 140 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of choice in the used market.

Is the 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 4.76/5, which is a strong sign that this model year delivers on what luxury buyers want. The owner feedback consistently points to a smooth ride, a luxurious interior, and powerful performance, while also highlighting advanced features and elegant styling. That lines up well with the E-Class’s role as a comfortable, spacious luxury mid-size car for buyers who want refinement and prestige more than sharp handling. With 32.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have a meaningful share of the market to compare.

Is the 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class reliable?

Owners rate it 4.76/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also suggests the car feels dependable and trouble-free in day-to-day use for many shoppers, with praise centred on the smooth ride, luxurious interior, and strong performance. That said, some owners mention higher maintenance costs after the warranty period and minor wear-and-tear concerns, so used buyers should think carefully about service history and ownership costs. For long-term ownership, the main risk is not whether the car feels well liked, but whether upkeep stays manageable once you take over.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 140 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.62% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $33,945 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class's resale value?

The current average of $33,945 CAD sits slightly below last year's $37,147 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently today but may also limit near-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the current trend means you should expect competition from similarly priced listings unless your car is especially well maintained or unusually well equipped. Strong condition and documented service history matter more when the market is already leaning lower.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.76/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.62% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.76/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 is a strong choice if you want a used luxury sedan that feels polished, comfortable, and well equipped, especially if you value owner satisfaction and current pricing over chasing the newest model year. If you are more price-sensitive, you should still compare nearby years and focus on the best-maintained example rather than the newest badge, because condition and service history will matter more than a small year-to-year difference.
