Is the 2019 Lexus RX a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Lexus RX earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.

Drivers consistently praise its luxurious features, comfort, and smooth ride. The all-wheel drive and the value it delivers for reliability also come up repeatedly, and the RX’s comfort-first approach fits well if you want a refined family SUV rather than something sporty. Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback highlights reliability, dependability, and a trouble-free ownership experience, with many drivers saying it is a vehicle they can count on. That lines up with the RX’s reputation for long-term value and low-drama ownership.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Lexus RX?

It looks like a buyer’s market if you’re shopping this model year now.

• Deal availability: 42.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 97 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.58% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $33,728 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Lexus RX's resale value?

The current average of $34,054 CAD sits slightly below last year's $37,251 CAD.

That kind of price movement suggests the RX has already absorbed some of its recent depreciation, which can help future sellers if the market stays steady. A lower entry price today can also support demand from used shoppers who want luxury without paying new-vehicle premiums. Because the RX continues to attract buyers looking for comfort and reliability, it should remain reasonably marketable over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Lexus RX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 42.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.58% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $38,103 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $34,054 CAD average.
• It adds two-row and three-row flexibility.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2019 if you want the better value and a strong satisfaction record. If you’re price-sensitive, the 2019 is the smarter buy; if you want more seating flexibility, the 2020 is worth a look.
