Is the 2019 Kia Sorento a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Kia Sorento earns a 4.62/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its comfortable ride, spacious interior, and great value, and many also like the third-row seating and smooth road manners. For you, that makes it a sensible fit if you want a family-friendly midsize SUV with everyday usability and a broad feature set. With 34.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2019 Kia Sorento reliable?

Owners rate it 4.62/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback also points to a vehicle that many owners find comfortable and dependable in daily use, with praise for its smooth ride and practical layout. That said, some shoppers mention concerns with certain engine options and missing amenities in some trims, so it is worth checking the specific example you are considering. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is choosing a poorly equipped or less desirable configuration rather than the model’s overall appeal.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Kia Sorento?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 362 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.45% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $15,795 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Kia Sorento's resale value?

The current average of $15,795 CAD sits slightly below last year's $19,369 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Sorento more attractive to you as a buyer today. For a future seller, it means there may be less room for appreciation unless demand strengthens. The good news is that the model’s practical layout and family-friendly appeal should help it remain relevant in the used market. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.62/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Kia Sorento or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.45% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.62/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 Sorento is the better choice if you want a well-rounded used midsize SUV with strong value, a comfortable cabin, and family-friendly flexibility. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby years to see whether a lower-priced example offers similar space and usability for less money.
