Prices have softened 18.07% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 366 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of choice if you're comparing trims, mileage, and condition.

Is the 2019 Kia Sorento a good car?

Yes — the 4.62/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise the comfortable ride, spacious interior, and great value, and many also like the third-row seating and how smooth it feels on the road. For you, that makes the Sorento a sensible pick if you want a family-friendly midsize SUV with everyday usability and a broad feature set. With 31.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2019 Kia Sorento reliable?

Owners rate it 4.62/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with drivers highlighting the comfortable ride and overall value in a way that suggests they feel confident living with it over time. That said, some shoppers have noted concerns with certain engine options, so your long-term risk is lower if you choose a well-maintained example with the powertrain that best suits your needs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Kia Sorento?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 366 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.07% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $15,535 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Kia Sorento's resale value?

The current average of $15,535 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,961 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer now but may limit upside if you plan to sell soon. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you should be better positioned to protect value than someone who pays near the top of the range. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.62/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Kia Sorento or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.07% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.62/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 Sorento is a strong choice if you want a well-rounded midsize SUV with family-friendly space, good value, and solid owner approval. If your priority is getting the most favourable purchase price, this year deserves a close look; if you want to compare for even newer equipment or a different price point, a nearby model year may still be worth considering.
