There are 346 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2019 Chevrolet Equinox a good car?

Yes — the 4.7/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers commonly praise the smooth ride, spacious interior, and good fuel economy, while also appreciating the powerful engine and the features that improve day-to-day driving. For you, that makes this a sensible pick if you want a comfortable compact SUV with a roomy cabin and a well-rounded feature set. With 29.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful value to be found if you shop carefully.

Is the 2019 Chevrolet Equinox reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with drivers highlighting the model’s smooth operation and confidence over time. The broader model guidance describes this generation as more reliable than what came before, which supports its appeal if you want something you can count on for regular use. For used buyers, that suggests lower long-term ownership risk than you might expect from an older compact SUV.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Chevrolet Equinox?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient and compare listings closely.

• Deal availability: 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 346 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.57% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $16,003 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Chevrolet Equinox's resale value?

The current average of $16,158 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,914 CAD.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Equinox easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you purchase at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger hit later. The model’s strong owner satisfaction should help support demand, but resale value will still depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.57% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 is a strong choice if you want the updated third-generation Equinox with a roomy cabin, good owner satisfaction, and a market that currently favours careful shoppers. If your priority is stretching your budget, you may want to compare nearby model years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of price, condition, and equipment.
