Is the 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee a good car?

Generally — the 4.4/5 user rating suggests you’re looking at a well-liked SUV. That fits the Grand Cherokee’s role as a used SUV that can feel more premium than many mainstream rivals while still offering real off-road capability. With 33.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful share of the market to shop from.

Is the 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee reliable?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

What is the 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $23,366 CAD sits slightly below last year's $27,072 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the model has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive resale environment. If you buy at the right price now, you may have less room for appreciation later, so condition and trim choice matter more. Strong demand can still support resale, especially when shoppers see value in the Grand Cherokee’s mix of comfort and capability.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.69% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $25,502 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $23,366 CAD average.
• It adds a fresher tenth-year update with a more polished design.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2019 if you want the better value and a wider pool of discounted listings. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer model-year feel, the 2020 is the secondary path, but price-sensitive buyers will likely find the 2019 the smarter buy.
