Why it stands out
The 2019 Honda Accord stands out because it sits in the middle of a major redesign that made the Accord more modern, more spacious, and more refined without abandoning the qualities that made it a benchmark family sedan. Honda’s tenth-generation Accord was completely redesigned for 2018, and by 2019 it still offered a simple, easy-to-use interior with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, physical HVAC controls, and dual-zone automatic climate control. It also gained interior room, with rear seat comfort described as “luxury-car massive,” while the cargo hold was said to be best in class among its contemporaries. For buyers who value practicality and everyday usability, that combination is a major part of the Accord’s appeal.
The 2019 model also benefits from a strong mix of powertrain choices and standard safety equipment. Lower trims used a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine producing 192 horsepower, while higher-end versions could be had with a 2.0-litre turbocharged motor producing 252 horsepower, and the Accord Hybrid returned with an updated hybrid system producing a combined 212 horsepower. Every trim came standard with Honda Sensing technology, including radar cruise control and lane-keeping assist, and those systems helped the Accord earn an IIHS Top Safety Pick. The main drawbacks are that cabin storage space could be better, and the Accord was noted as being more expensive than its competitors, but its blend of comfort, efficiency, technology, and driving enjoyment still makes it a compelling used sedan.

| Year-Round High | $23,976 CAD |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $23,979 CAD |

There are 196 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of choice in the used market.
Is the 2019 Honda Accord a good car?
Generally — the 2019 Honda Accord earns 4.43/5, which points to strong owner approval. Owners consistently praise its stylish design, luxurious interior, excellent reliability, impressive fuel economy, and smooth ride quality. It also stands out for its comfortable, spacious cockpit and everyday usability, especially if you want a practical midsize sedan with a roomy cabin and a large trunk. With 29.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop carefully.
Is the 2019 Honda Accord reliable?
Owners rate it 4.43/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.
Owner feedback highlights excellent reliability, and many drivers describe the Accord as dependable and trouble-free over the long term. That kind of reputation matters if you want a used sedan you can count on for daily driving. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that any neglected maintenance or high-mileage wear can become more expensive to sort out later.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Honda Accord?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.
- Deal availability: 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 196 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 10.93% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $21,303 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2019 Honda Accord's resale value?
The current average of $21,358 CAD sits slightly below last year's $23,979 CAD.
That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more confidently now but may limit upside if you plan to sell soon. If you purchase at today’s average, your future resale value will depend heavily on mileage, condition, and how well the car has been maintained. A softer market can also mean you may need to price competitively when it is your turn to sell.
Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.43/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2019 Honda Accord or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2019 if:
- 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 10.93% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.43/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
Consider the 2018 if:
- At $19,174 CAD, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $21,358 CAD average.
- It delivers a more driver-focused feel with broad everyday practicality.
Consider the 2020 if:
- At $22,568 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $21,358 CAD average.
- It adds polished tech and a huge back seat.
The bottom line: The 2019 is the best all-around choice if you want a well-liked Accord at a softer price than last year. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2018 is the value play; if you want a newer-feeling option and can spend more, the 2020 is the upgrade path.
