What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Honda Accord?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SE, Sport, EX-L, and Touring trims differ most in comfort and convenience, with the base SE missing items such as the wireless phone charger, moonroof, 10-speaker premium audio system, heated steering wheel, and paddle shifters. The EX-L adds leather upholstery, heated outboard rear seats, and second-row ventilation, while Touring brings back 19-inch wheels and adds ventilated front seats and more tech.
• Powertrain: You get a 192-horsepower turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder with a CVT on the SE, Sport, EX-L, and Touring, while Sport 2.0 and Touring 2.0 use a 2.0-litre turbo-four with a 10-speed automatic and more power. Both engines run on regular unleaded fuel, and the smaller engine is the more efficient choice.
• Safety package: Every Accord includes Honda Sensing, with lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, road departure mitigation, blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning and collision mitigation braking, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams. The standard safety suite is broad even on lower trims.
• Infotainment: Every trim gets an 8-inch touchscreen with physical volume and tuning knobs, plus Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, hands-free text messaging, and two USB ports. Higher trims add satellite radio, HD radio, a wireless phone charger, a 10-speaker premium audio system, an extra USB port, and a Wi-Fi hot spot.
• Fuel efficiency: The 1.5-litre engine is rated at 7.2 L/100 km combined in the SE and EX-L, and 7.5 L/100 km combined in the Sport and Touring. The 2.0-litre engine is rated at 9.1 L/100 km combined.

Which 2021 Honda Accord trim should I buy?

The 2021 Honda Accord is offered in 6 trim levels: SE, Sport, EX-L, Touring, Sport 2.0, and Touring 2.0.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the value-focused choice if you want the Accord’s core strengths without paying for extras. You still get heated front seats, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and the full safety suite, making it the best-value trim for many shoppers.
• Sport: Choose this if you want a more complete feature set, including the moonroof, wireless phone charger, 10-speaker premium audio system, heated steering wheel, and paddle shifters. It adds a more upscale feel without jumping all the way to the top trims.
• EX-L: This is the comfort pick, adding leather upholstery, heated outboard rear seats, and second-row ventilation. It suits you best if rear-seat comfort and a more premium cabin matter most.
• Touring: This is the most luxurious standard-engine trim, with 19-inch wheels, ventilated front seats, and the most advanced tech in the lineup. It’s the right fit if you want the most upscale Accord without moving to the 2.0-litre models.
• Sport 2.0: Pick this if you want the stronger 2.0-litre turbo engine and still want the Sport trim’s equipment. It’s the more engaging choice for drivers who care about power.
• Touring 2.0: This is the top performance-and-luxury combination, pairing the stronger engine with the Touring trim’s equipment. It’s the most complete Accord if you want both power and features.

Honda Sensing is standard across the lineup, so even the lower trims are well covered on safety.

• Inventory: There are 128 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.44% compared with last year.

What is the 2021 Honda Accord's resale value?

The current average of $25,085 CAD sits slightly below last year's $27,398 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive market if prices stay under pressure. If you own one for several years, the current trend suggests resale value may depend heavily on condition, trim, and equipment. Well-equipped examples should remain easier to move than stripped-down ones, especially if they are priced near the market average.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.44% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

• It offers a polished, spacious, tech-friendly family-sedan package.

The bottom line: Choose the 2021 if you want the newer, better-equipped version and are comfortable paying closer to market average. If your priority is saving money, the 2020 is the smarter value play.
