This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 116 listings available.

What is the 2019 Chevrolet Trax's resale value?

The current average of $13,656 CAD sits slightly below last year's $16,083 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Trax has become more accessible for buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a softer market than they did a year ago. If you buy at today’s average, your resale position will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been kept. The model’s value proposition is still tied to affordability and practicality, which can help keep it relevant with budget-minded shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Chevrolet Trax or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.09% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 Trax makes the most sense if you want a budget-friendly small SUV with a practical footprint and you value current pricing over chasing a newer model year. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years, but the 2019 is a sensible starting point because it combines a lower average price with a solid satisfaction rating and decent deal availability.
