Is the 2019 Acura MDX a good car?

Generally — the 2019 Acura MDX earns 4.44/5 from owners, which points to strong overall satisfaction. You get a three-row luxury SUV that owners praise for its smooth ride, spacious interior, and reliable performance, while the V6 power and family-friendly layout make it a practical fit if you want room for seven without moving to a larger SUV. The main trade-offs are that the technology can be challenging to use and the cabin may not feel as upscale as some rivals. With 30.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop carefully.

Is the 2019 Acura MDX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.44/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to reliable performance and a trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers, with the V6 and overall durability standing out as strengths. That said, used buyers should still budget for age-related wear and verify maintenance history, since long-term ownership risk depends heavily on how the vehicle was cared for.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Acura MDX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 98 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.06% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $27,026 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Acura MDX's resale value?

The current average of $27,404 CAD sits slightly below last year's $31,886 CAD.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the MDX easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that pricing discipline matters: a well-kept example will need to be positioned competitively to stand out. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand, but the recent price trend means you should expect a more measured resale environment than before.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.44/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Acura MDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.06% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.44/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $30,014 CAD, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $27,404 CAD average.
• It adds broader appeal with a more proven family-focused package and standard advanced safety features.

The bottom line: Choose the 2019 if you want the better value and are comfortable shopping carefully for a clean, well-priced example. If you can stretch for the 2020, it may be the better path for buyers who want a newer model year and are willing to pay more for it.
