Is the 2018 RAM 3500 a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its heavy-towing capability, comfortable ride, sturdy build, and thoughtful design, while also noting that it delivers respectable fuel economy for a truck of this size. If you want a heavy-duty pickup that feels more refined than a basic work truck, the 2018 RAM 3500 fits that use case well. Is the 2018 RAM 3500 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights a truck that feels dependable, with praise for its sturdy build and the confidence it inspires when handling heavy towing duties. The lack of major complaints in the review summary also points to a trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers. For used buyers, that suggests the bigger risk is less about the truck’s basic durability and more about finding one that has been properly maintained for hard work.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 RAM 3500?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Inventory: There are 121 listings available.

If you find a listing below $44,701 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 RAM 3500's resale value?

The current average of $47,135 CAD sits slightly below last year's $50,282 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has eased a bit, which can make the truck more attractive to buyers today but may also mean future sellers need to price competitively. If you buy well and keep the truck in strong condition, you may be better positioned when it comes time to resell. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.26% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a heavy-duty truck with strong owner approval, a refined cabin, and serious towing capability, the 2018 RAM 3500 is the primary year to target. If your priority is stretching your budget further, you can also compare nearby model years for a lower entry price, but the 2018 stands out as a balanced choice when satisfaction and market conditions both matter.
