Is the 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners commonly praise its comfort, performance, and luxurious features, and they also highlight the spacious interior and powerful Hemi engine. That makes it a strong fit if you want a used SUV that can handle everyday driving while still offering genuine capability and a more upscale feel. Is the 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also points to a vehicle people feel good about living with over time, especially when it comes to comfort and performance. The repeated praise for its dependable-feeling powertrain and strong all-round usability suggests it can be a reassuring choice if you want something you can count on for daily use and longer trips. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific vehicle you choose has been maintained carefully.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 25.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 174 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 24.89% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $14,891 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $14,891 CAD sits slightly below last year's $19,825 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the vehicle more attractive to used buyers today but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you buy at the right price, you may be better positioned to absorb normal depreciation over time. Strong demand can still help support resale, especially for well-kept examples with desirable equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 25.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 24.89% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of value, owner satisfaction, and current market softness, the 2016 is the one to focus on first. If you're especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2016's stronger market position and owner feedback.
