Is the 2018 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

The 2018 Nissan Pathfinder is a practical choice if you want a roomy three-row SUV with family-friendly flexibility, and its 3.9/5 user rating points to generally positive owner sentiment. Owners commonly praise the comfortable interior, easy access to the third row, and ample legroom, while also appreciating the smooth handling and modern features. It fits especially well if you want seating for eight, useful everyday versatility, and available towing strength rather than a smaller, efficiency-first SUV. With 25.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is a meaningful share of the market that may offer value.

Is the 2018 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

The 2018 Nissan Pathfinder stands out as a roomy, family-focused three-row SUV that balances comfort, practicality, and capability. Owners do describe it as comfortable and smooth to drive, and some feedback points to a dependable-feeling cabin for daily family use. At the same time, a few owners have raised concerns about engine or suspension issues, so you should pay close attention to service records and how the vehicle drives on a test route. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is worth checking carefully before you commit.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Nissan Pathfinder?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 25.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 216 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.33% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $15,251 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $15,251 CAD sits slightly below last year's $19,142 CAD.

That softer pricing can be helpful if you're buying now, but it also means future resale upside may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, the current trend suggests you should focus on buying well and keeping the vehicle in strong condition. A clean history and good maintenance will matter more when it comes time to trade or sell.

Should I buy a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?
