Used 2018 Hyundai Sonata for Sale nearRichmond Hill, ON

How much does the 2018 Hyundai Sonata cost?

Prices have softened 12.20% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 120 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2018 Hyundai Sonata a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Hyundai Sonata earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its reliability, value, and comfort, and many also like the spacious interior and smooth ride. That makes it a sensible fit if you want a roomy, well-equipped midsize sedan for comfortable daily driving rather than a sportier feel. With 31.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2018 Hyundai Sonata reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback highlights reliability, and the review summary also points to a trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers who value dependable transportation. That said, used buyers should still inspect service history closely, because long-term ownership risk can rise if maintenance has been inconsistent or if the car has been exposed to the kinds of issues that can affect this model year.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Hyundai Sonata?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 120 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.20% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $12,442 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Hyundai Sonata's resale value?

The current average of $12,850 CAD sits slightly below last year's $14,636 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the car easier to buy now but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you own one, the softer pricing trend means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance records. Well-kept examples should still attract interest, but you may need to price competitively to move the car quickly.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Hyundai Sonata or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.20% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 Sonata is the better choice if you want a comfortable, well-equipped midsize sedan and you can find a clean example at a fair price. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may offer a lower entry point, but the 2018 stands out as the more compelling pick when you want a strong mix of value, comfort, and owner satisfaction.
