Used 2018 Honda Accord for Sale near Niagara Falls, ON

How much does the 2018 Honda Accord cost?

Prices have softened 9.88% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 236 listings available, which suggests a modest but workable amount of inventory for shoppers.

Is the 2018 Honda Accord a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Honda Accord earns a 4.72/5 user rating and an 8.17/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise the smooth ride, advanced technology, and ample interior space, and they also call out the sporty performance and luxurious feel in higher trims. That lines up well with the Accord’s overview as a roomy midsize family sedan that still feels more engaging to drive than many rivals. For you, that means it works especially well if you want a practical daily driver that does not feel plain or anonymous.

The market also shows 30.1% of listings as good or great deals, which points to a healthy number of attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2018 Honda Accord reliable?

Owners rate it 4.72/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable, with praise for its smooth ride, advanced technology, and overall satisfaction with the package. The expert summary also describes the Accord as reliable, roomy, efficient, and unpretentious, which reinforces its reputation as a car you can count on over the long term. Honda’s cost-effectiveness notes also support the ownership case by showing that the Accord delivers a lot of features, refinement, and powertrain choice for the money.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about core durability and more about finding a well-kept example with the features and trim level you want.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Honda Accord?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Accord’s trim structure matters because equipment changes noticeably as you move up the range. The base LX is the most straightforward choice, while Sport, EX-L, and Touring add more comfort and convenience features; the 2.0T versions bring a stronger engine, and higher trims can feel much more upscale. If you want the best balance of equipment and value, the mid-range trims are the ones to focus on first.
• Powertrain: You get two turbocharged four-cylinder engines instead of the older naturally aspirated four-cylinder and V6. The 1.5-litre turbo is the efficiency-focused choice, while the 2.0-litre turbo delivers stronger performance and pairs with a 10-speed automatic; a six-speed manual is also available on Sport trims and the base LX in Canada.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing comes standard and includes auto-braking, forward collision warning, lane-departure warning, road departure mitigation with lane-keep assist, traffic-sign recognition, adaptive cruise control, auto high beams, a driver attention monitor, and a backup camera with three views. Blind-spot monitoring is standard on Touring trims, while LaneWatch is included with Sport and EX-L.
• Infotainment: The infotainment system is faster and easier to use than earlier versions, with a customisable home screen and quick, accurate Garmin navigation. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on all trims in Canada, while wireless device charging is standard on Touring and rear USB ports are standard on EX-L and Touring.
• Fuel efficiency: The 1.5T with CVT is rated at 7.9 L/100 km city and 6.3 highway, while the 2.0T automatic goes up to 10.4 city and 7.4 highway. Sport and Touring trims with the 1.5T have higher ratings, as do the manuals.

Which 2018 Honda Accord trim should I buy?

The 2018 Honda Accord is offered in 6 trim levels: LX, Sport, EX-L, Touring, Sport 2.0, Touring 2.0.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the simplest entry point and the one to choose if you want the Accord’s core strengths without paying for extras. It keeps the formula focused on value, and it is also one of the trims where the six-speed manual is available in Canada.
• Sport: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more visual presence and useful equipment while staying below the luxury-oriented trims. It also gets LaneWatch, and if you want the stronger 2.0-litre engine, the Sport 2.0 is the step up to look at.
• EX-L: This is the trim to target if you want a more upscale feel without jumping all the way to the top. It adds a more premium experience and includes LaneWatch, plus rear USB ports.
• Touring: This is the most feature-rich choice and the one to buy if you want the fullest Accord experience. It adds blind-spot monitoring, wireless device charging, and the most complete convenience package.
• Sport 2.0: This is the pick if you want the stronger 2.0-litre turbo engine in a trim that still keeps the Accord’s sporty character front and centre. It is the better choice for drivers who care more about performance than maximum luxury.
• Touring 2.0: This is the top-spec choice if you want the strongest engine and the most equipment together. It suits you best if you want the most powerful and most fully equipped Accord in this lineup.

Honda Sensing comes standard across the range, while blind-spot monitoring is reserved for Touring trims and LaneWatch is included with Sport and EX-L.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Honda Accord?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to compare listings and wait for the right example.

• Deal availability: 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 236 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.88% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $18,991 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Honda Accord's resale value?

The current average of $18,991 CAD sits slightly below last year's $21,073 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the car more appealing to buyers today but less favourable for a future seller trying to recover a higher purchase price. If you buy at the current average or below, you reduce the risk of overpaying relative to recent market history. Strong demand for well-equipped, well-reviewed family sedans should still help support values, especially for cleaner examples with desirable trims and features.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.72/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2018 Honda Accord safe?

The 2018 Accord is rated a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, scoring the highest in all five crash tests and a separate crash-avoidance test that measures the auto-braking system. It earns a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing comes standard on every Accord and includes auto-braking, forward collision warning, lane-departure warning, road departure mitigation with lane-keep assist, traffic-sign recognition, adaptive cruise control, auto high beams, a driver attention monitor, and a backup camera with three views. Blind-spot monitoring is standard on Touring trims, while LaneWatch is included with Sport and EX-L.

A lower headlight rating kept the Accord from earning Top Safety Pick+ status, so that is the main safety caveat to keep in mind.

Should I buy a 2018 Honda Accord or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.88% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.72/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2018 model is the all-new tenth-generation Accord, with a more engaging driving character, stronger technology, and a more polished overall experience than the previous year.

The bottom line: If you want the most distinctive version of this generation’s Accord formula, the 2018 is the one to target because it combines the new design, strong owner satisfaction, and a softer price trend. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still make sense, but the 2018 stands out as the better all-around choice when you want the newer engineering and the broader appeal that comes with it.
