Used 2018 Nissan Altima for Sale near Niagara Falls, ON

How much does the 2018 Nissan Altima cost?

Prices have softened 7.53% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 83 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of choice when comparing condition, mileage, and equipment.

Is the 2018 Nissan Altima a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Nissan Altima earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.

Owners commonly praise its smooth ride, comfort, and technology features, and many also like the good fuel economy and spacious trunk. In use, that lines up well with its role as a comfortable, quiet midsize sedan rather than a sporty one. If you want a stylish, safety-focused daily driver with standard all-wheel drive in Canada, it fits that brief well. With 27.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop carefully.

Is the 2018 Nissan Altima reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a car that many people find dependable and trouble-free in everyday use, especially when it comes to comfort and efficiency over the long term. At the same time, some reviews mention transmission concerns and maintenance-related issues, so a careful pre-purchase inspection matters. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is ending up with a poorly maintained example rather than a fundamentally weak design.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Nissan Altima?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and compare listings closely.

• Deal availability: 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 83 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.53% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $11,923 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Nissan Altima's resale value?

The current average of $12,982 CAD sits slightly below last year's $14,039 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently today but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the current trend means you should expect a more value-driven market rather than a strong appreciation story. Well-kept examples with desirable equipment and clean history should still attract attention, but you may need to price competitively to move the car.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Nissan Altima or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 27.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.53% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 Altima makes the most sense if you want a well-equipped, comfortable midsize sedan with standard all-wheel drive and you value current pricing over chasing the newest redesign. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may offer a similar ownership experience, so compare condition and listing price first and choose the cleanest, best-maintained example you can find.
