What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Honda Accord?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base LX is not too basic, with heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth connectivity, text-messaging support, a rear-view camera, and 17-inch alloy wheels. Sport adds a firmer suspension, paddle shifters, and unique 18-inch wheels, while EX-L and Touring bring more luxury-oriented equipment.
• Powertrain: You can choose a four-cylinder, a V6, or a gas-electric hybrid. The four-cylinder is smooth and sprightly, the V6 is the stronger option, and the CVT helps deliver power efficiently.
• Safety package: Honda’s LaneWatch blind-spot monitoring, automatic collision notification, lane-departure warning, and forward-collision warning are only offered on higher trims. A rear-view camera is standard on every Accord.
• Infotainment: The Sport includes Bluetooth, a hands-free text-messaging assistant, a USB port, and an auxiliary input jack, but navigation, satellite radio, HondaLink services, and adaptive cruise control require a higher trim.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada says the four-cylinder test vehicle should return around 9.0 L/100 km in the city and 6.7 L/100 km on the highway, and the test car averaged 8.8 L/100 km in city-heavy driving. The hybrid is rated at 4.7 L/100 km for city driving.

Which 2015 Honda Accord trim should I buy?

The 2015 Honda Accord is offered in 4 trim levels: LX, Sport, EX-L, and Touring.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the value-focused choice if you want the essentials without stretching the budget. It already includes heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth connectivity, text-messaging support, a rear-view camera, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
• Sport: This is the best-value trim if you want a more engaging drive. It adds a small bump in power, paddle shifters, a firmer suspension, and 18-inch wheels, but it also keeps technology upgrades limited.
• EX-L: Choose this if you want a more upscale cabin and the option of a more powerful V6 engine. It also adds standard heated rear seats.
• Touring: This is the top-end choice if you want the V6 and the most premium equipment in the lineup.

The safety-package features are reserved for higher trims, so check carefully if those systems matter to you.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Honda Accord?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 23.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 78 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.66% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $13,414 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Honda Accord's resale value?

The current average of $13,867 CAD sits slightly below last year's $14,699 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a little more buyer-friendly, which can work against a future seller if you need to trade in quickly. At the same time, the Accord’s reputation for reliability, fuel efficiency, and broad everyday competence helps support demand over time. If you keep the car in good condition and avoid overpaying now, you should be in a better position when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Honda Accord safe?

The 2015 Accord earns a five-star overall crash-test rating from NHTSA and a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda’s standard rear-view camera is included on every Accord, while LaneWatch blind-spot monitoring, automatic collision notification, lane-departure warning, and forward-collision warning are only available on higher trims. That means you may need to move up the lineup if you want the full suite of driver-assistance features. The safety story is strong overall, but the packaging approach creates a real trim-level gap for shoppers who want more advanced protection tech.

Should I buy a 2015 Honda Accord or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 23.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.66% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 stands out for its exceptionally well-engineered, dependable, and broadly competent character.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $15,068 CAD, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $13,867 CAD average.
• Honda made several improvements that made the sedan better in several ways.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2015 is the smarter starting point because pricing has eased and owner satisfaction remains strong. If you are willing to spend more for a newer model with incremental improvements, the 2016 is the better secondary path.
