How much does the 2018 Chevrolet Trax cost?

There are 110 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2018 Chevrolet Trax a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2018 Chevrolet Trax is aimed at you if you want a small, practical, easy-to-live-with crossover with a higher driving position and city-friendly manoeuvrability. Chevrolet also equipped it with useful everyday features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the Premier trim added more available safety technology and convenience features. With 27.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Chevrolet Trax reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2018 Chevrolet Trax is described as a practical, budget-conscious crossover with useful equipment and straightforward day-to-day usability. Its appeal is more about sensible ownership than standout performance, so you should focus on condition, maintenance history, and how well the vehicle has been cared for over time. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is best managed by choosing a well-kept example with a clean service record.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Chevrolet Trax?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 110 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.05% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $12,663 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Chevrolet Trax's resale value?

The current average of $13,093 CAD sits slightly below last year's $14,239 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Trax has become a bit more accessible for buyers, which can make it harder for sellers to command top dollar unless the vehicle is especially clean or well equipped. If you plan to sell later, the current trend points to a market where pricing discipline matters. A well-presented Trax with strong equipment and solid condition should still attract interest, but you may need to price it competitively to move it efficiently.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Chevrolet Trax or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.05% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a small, practical crossover with useful tech and a city-friendly footprint, the 2018 Trax is the year to focus on. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, you can also compare nearby model years and use the softer pricing trend to negotiate carefully, but the 2018 remains the better pick when you want a balanced mix of value, usability, and market availability.
