The feedback points to a vehicle that many owners feel good about living with over time, especially when it comes to dependable everyday use and confidence in the long run. The repeated mentions of good gas mileage, safety features, and a smooth ride also support the idea that it can be a trouble-free choice for many buyers. Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Buick Encore?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 25.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 183 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.32% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $13,873 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Buick Encore's resale value?

The current average of $14,089 CAD sits slightly below last year's $16,444 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Encore has become more accessible for buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy near the current average, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to last year's higher level. The model's broad appeal should help support demand, but resale will still depend on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Buick Encore or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 25.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.32% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 Buick Encore makes sense if you want a used small SUV with strong owner satisfaction and a market that has become more favourable for shoppers. If your priority is value, this year deserves a close look. If you're especially price-sensitive, compare it against nearby model years and focus on the listings that sit near the lower end of the current price range.
