The 2017 Jeep Cherokee stands out as part of the model’s third generation, which moved the nameplate in a much softer crossover direction than earlier Cherokees. For 2017, high-intensity discharge headlamps became standard on all trims except the Sport, and Jeep also added the High Altitude and Overland trims. That combination gives this model year a more upscale and better-equipped feel than the early versions of the generation, while still keeping the Cherokee’s distinctive styling and available all-weather capability.

At the same time, the 2017 Cherokee was not without drawbacks: the base 2.4-litre four-cylinder was described as harsh and underpowered, fuel economy could be as low as 7.5 L/100 km highway, and this generation was affected by major transmission issues in its early years.

I had a 2019 Cherokee Trailhawk a few years ago and I fell in love with the Cherokee ls after that. Sadly I had to part ways with the original one I had but being able to find another Cherokee at a good price and mileage is amazing. I love the ride it provides! Great sound system, modern interior and design, quiet ride in the cab with minimal road noise and incredibly comfortable. Love the Cherokees!
