The review summary highlights reliability, dependability, and a trouble-free ownership experience as part of what owners value most. Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Honda CR-V?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage but should still move quickly on the best listings.

• Deal availability: 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 626 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.79% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $18,525 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Honda CR-V's resale value?

The current average of $18,525 CAD sits slightly below last year's $20,767 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a softer resale environment than owners saw a year ago. If you buy now, the lower entry price can help offset some depreciation risk. The CR-V’s strong owner satisfaction should help support demand when it is time to sell, especially if the vehicle has a clean history and good maintenance records.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Honda CR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.79% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 is a strong choice if you want a well-liked CR-V with a lower average price and plenty of listings to compare. If you are price-sensitive, it is worth cross-shopping nearby years to see whether a slightly older model gives you a lower entry point, but the 2017 remains the better all-around pick if you want a balance of value, owner satisfaction, and market availability.
