There are 786 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of choice in the used market.

Is the 2018 Honda CR-V a good car?

Yes — the 4.73/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the great value, comfort, and impressive features, while also highlighting the spacious interior, good gas mileage, and advanced tech options. For you, that makes the CR-V a sensible fit if you want a practical compact crossover for commuting, family duty, and everyday usefulness. With 28.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2018 Honda CR-V reliable?

Owners rate it 4.73/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Honda CR-V?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 28.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 786 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.34% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $20,377 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Honda CR-V's resale value?

The current average of $20,379 CAD sits slightly below last year's $23,516 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the CR-V easier to buy now but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you purchase near the current average, you may need to be realistic about how much value you can recover later. On the other hand, the model’s broad appeal and strong owner satisfaction can help support demand when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.73/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Honda CR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 28.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.34% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.73/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $22,466 CAD, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $20,379 CAD average.
• It adds a more refined, roomy feel with strong safety and efficiency appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2018 is the stronger starting point because pricing has eased and owner satisfaction remains high. If you are willing to spend more for a newer-year alternative, the 2019 is the better secondary path for buyers who prioritise refinement and are comfortable paying above the current-year average.
