How much does the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox cost?

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Its appeal is rooted in a roomy interior, practical cabin layout, and everyday usability, with added equipment over time that improves convenience and safety. It also fits well if you want a spacious crossover that stays smaller than a midsize SUV while still feeling substantial. The market shows 36.6% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The third-generation Equinox is described as more dependable than the second-generation models, and its clean-sheet powertrain lineup helped improve its reputation. For used buyers, that points to a lower-risk ownership experience than earlier versions, especially if you prioritise a mainstream SUV with a stronger reliability story.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Chevrolet Equinox?

This looks like a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without waiting forever.

• Deal availability: 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 489 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.72% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $27,008 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox's resale value?

The current average of $27,008 CAD sits slightly below last year's $31,302 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. For a seller, the current trend suggests you should expect value to depend more on condition, mileage, and equipment than on broad market momentum. A well-kept example should still attract interest because the model has practical appeal and broad shopper demand.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Chevrolet Equinox or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.72% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $24,724 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $27,008 CAD average.
• It offers strong comfort, easy-to-use tech, and excellent value.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $33,931 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $27,008 CAD average.
• It brings a fresher design with more standard tech and safety features.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the best all-around pick if you want a well-equipped, practical SUV with strong owner satisfaction and a softer used-market price. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the better value play; if you want the newest design and added equipment, the 2025 is the upgrade path.
