Generally — 4/5 is a solid user rating for this model year, and the Murano’s comfort-first character makes it a strong fit if you want a relaxed family SUV with a more premium feel. Its distinctive exterior design, well-equipped cabin, and emphasis on comfort help it stand out, while the trade-off is that it is not the most engaging choice in the class. Is the 2016 Nissan Murano reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Murano’s comfort-focused design and well-equipped cabin suggest it was built to appeal to buyers who value a polished daily driver. For long-term ownership, your main risk is buying one that has not been maintained consistently, especially if the transmission or other wear items have been neglected.

That price movement suggests the Murano has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy well now, you may have less downside risk than someone who purchased when prices were higher. The model’s comfort-first appeal should help keep it relevant with shoppers who want a refined midsize SUV rather than a sportier alternative.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
