Is the 2018 Nissan Murano a good car?

Yes — 4.8/5 is a strong user rating for this model year. That fits well if you want a comfort-first midsize SUV with a more upscale feel and a cabin that feels more polished than many rivals. Is the 2018 Nissan Murano reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable in day-to-day use, with comfort and refinement standing out as recurring strengths. When shoppers repeatedly describe a used SUV as trouble-free enough to recommend for its value and long-term appeal, that usually supports confidence in ownership. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the overall ownership experience and more about finding one that has been maintained properly.

What is the 2018 Nissan Murano's resale value?

The current average of $15,674 CAD sits slightly below last year's $20,274 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Murano easier to buy now but also means future sellers may need to price competitively. If you buy at the right number, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to last year’s average. The model’s comfort-focused appeal and upscale feel should still help it hold interest among shoppers who want a refined used SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Nissan Murano or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 22.69% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2018 if you want the Murano’s comfort-first character, upscale cabin, and a market that currently gives you some negotiating room. If you are especially price-sensitive, it is still worth comparing nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2018’s stronger feature set and broader appeal.
