How much does the 2016 Jeep Cherokee cost?

Is the 2016 Jeep Cherokee a good car?

Generally — the 2016 Jeep Cherokee earns 4.12/5, which points to solid owner approval. Drivers commonly praise its sporty feel, comfortable interior, and adequate power, and many also like its convenient size and features. For you, that makes it a sensible fit if you want a compact SUV with everyday comfort and a bit of Jeep character. With 27.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Jeep Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 4.12/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback does include concerns about build quality, especially around engine and transmission reliability, even though the vehicle is also described as comfortable and enjoyable to live with. That means you should pay close attention to service records and how the drivetrain behaves on a test drive. For used buyers, the long-term ownership risk looks manageable, but only if you choose carefully and inspect the vehicle thoroughly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Jeep Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to be patient and compare listings.

• Deal availability: 27.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 341 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.20% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $11,962 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Jeep Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $11,962 CAD sits slightly below last year's $14,107 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Cherokee easier to buy now but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you plan to resell later, the softer current pricing means your return will depend more on condition, mileage, and maintenance history than on broad market momentum. Well-kept examples should still attract interest from shoppers who want a compact SUV with a comfortable cabin and a sporty feel.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.12/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Jeep Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 27.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.20% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.12/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a 2016 Cherokee with a comfortable interior, sporty feel, and a market that has become more buyer-friendly, this year makes sense as the primary target. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a similar example offers a better deal, but the 2016 is a reasonable place to start if you value the balance of features and current pricing.
