How much does the 2015 Honda Civic cost?

Prices have softened 1.74% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

Is the 2015 Honda Civic a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 4.5/5 owner-rated car with an expert score of 8.67/10. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its reliability, fuel efficiency, and user-friendly design, and they also like the smooth ride and spacious interior. That lines up well with the Civic’s role as an economical daily driver that aims to satisfy a broad range of small-car shoppers rather than chase flash or complexity.

The market also looks supportive, with 25.3% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2015 Honda Civic reliable?

The owner feedback repeatedly points to reliability, and it also highlights the car as a dependable, trouble-free choice for commuters and first-time buyers. The expert commentary reinforces that sense of durability by framing the Civic as a model that meets small-car buyer expectations for reliability and value.

On the ownership side, the Civic’s cost-effectiveness focus and value retention help reduce long-term worry for used buyers, especially if you choose a well-maintained example.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Honda Civic?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base DX is the most stripped-down version, while the LX adds more everyday convenience. Higher trims bring more equipment, but the base car misses some features that matter to many shoppers.
• Powertrain: Most versions use a 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine with front-wheel drive, and the CVT is tuned to feel more natural under acceleration. A five-speed manual is standard on DX, LX, and EX grades, with the CVT optional on the latter two and standard on Touring.
• Safety package: The Civic includes a backup camera on all trims except the base DX. LaneWatch is standard on all but the DX and LX trims, but it is not as intuitive as a traditional blind-spot system.
• Infotainment: Every Civic gets Bluetooth calling and text messaging. Move above LX and you get the 7-inch touchscreen with HondaLink smartphone connectivity and services, plus navigation support and third-party app access through your paired smartphone.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada states combined consumption of 7.2 L/100 km, and the test vehicle averaged 7.4 L/100 km.

Which 2015 Honda Civic trim should I buy?

The 2015 Honda Civic is offered in 6 trim levels: DX, LX, EX, Touring, Civic Hybrid, and Civic Si.

Here's the short version:

• DX: This is the least expensive way into the Civic, but it is also the most basic. It makes sense if you want the lowest entry price and can live without some of the convenience and safety equipment found higher up the range.
• LX: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more everyday usability while staying close to the affordable end of the lineup. It also unlocks the touchscreen infotainment system when you move beyond it.
• EX: This is the sweet spot if you want a more complete Civic experience. It adds the 7-inch touchscreen, HondaLink connectivity, heated front seats, automatic climate control, LaneWatch, keyless entry, push-button start, a power sunroof, automatic headlights, and alloy wheels.
• Touring: Choose this if you want the most fully equipped mainstream Civic sedan in the lineup. It comes with the CVT standard and sits at the top of the regular trim ladder.
• Civic Hybrid: This is the efficiency-focused choice if fuel economy is your top priority.
• Civic Si: This is the performance-oriented choice if you want the most fun-to-drive Civic in the range.

The safety package note is worth remembering: the backup camera is standard on all trims except the base DX, and LaneWatch is standard on all but the DX and LX trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Honda Civic?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 25.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 356 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.74% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $11,932 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Honda Civic's resale value?

The current average of $12,343 CAD sits slightly below last year's $12,561 CAD.

That mild decline suggests the market has eased a bit, which can be helpful if you’re buying now but less ideal if you’re planning to sell soon. Even so, the Civic’s reputation for reliability, value, and low ownership costs should help it remain attractive to future shoppers.

Because demand tends to stay steady for practical, well-regarded compact cars, a clean Civic with strong maintenance history should still hold buyer interest reasonably well. The current pricing trend points to a model that remains accessible without looking weak in the used market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Honda Civic safe?

The 2015 Honda Civic earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA and a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

The Civic comes with a backup camera on all trims except the base DX, and LaneWatch is standard on all but the DX and LX trims. HondaLink Assist is also part of the package, adding collision-notification capability when paired and activated.

One caveat is that LaneWatch is not as intuitive as a traditional blind-spot monitoring system, and it can add distraction because it asks you to check another display point before changing lanes.

Should I buy a 2015 Honda Civic or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 25.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.74% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It delivers strong value, reliability, safety, fuel efficiency, and practicality in a well-rounded compact package.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $11,149 CAD, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $12,343 CAD average.
• It feels more refined and capable than its price suggests.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $14,086 CAD, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $12,343 CAD average.
• It brings a bold redesign with better fashion, refinement, and build quality.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, satisfaction, and everyday usefulness, the 2015 is the sensible pick. If your budget is tighter, the 2014 offers a lower entry point with a polished feel. If you want the newer redesign and can spend more, the 2016 is the more modern choice.
