How much does the 2015 Honda Civic cost?

Prices have softened 1.05% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 363 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of choice if you’re comparing trims and condition.

Is the 2015 Honda Civic a good car?

Yes — it earns a 4.5/5 user rating and an 8.67/10 expert rating, which points to broad appeal for used-car shoppers. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its reliability, fuel efficiency, and user-friendly design, and they also like the smooth ride and spacious interior. In practical terms, that makes it a strong fit if you want an economical daily driver that’s easy to live with, especially for commuting or first-time ownership. With 27.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s also a healthy amount of market value to consider.

Is the 2015 Honda Civic reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback repeatedly highlights reliability, and the broader ownership picture also points to a dependable, trouble-free small car that people can count on. The powertrain is described as refined, and the car’s cost-effectiveness section reinforces its reputation for long-term value and low ownership burden. For used buyers, the main risk is less about durability and more about finding one that hasn’t been worn down by years of commuting and deferred maintenance.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Honda Civic?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Base DX and LX trims are the most affordable, while the EX Sedan adds a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, HondaLink connectivity and services, heated front seats, automatic climate control, LaneWatch, keyless entry and push-button start, a power sunroof, automatic headlights, and alloy wheels. The base DX is the most stripped-down version, so check carefully for the feature gaps that matter to you.
• Powertrain: Most versions use a 1.8-litre 4-cylinder engine with 143 horsepower, front-wheel drive, and a CVT on higher grades, while a five-speed manual is standard on the DX, LX, and EX. The car is not especially quick, but it is described as refined and easy to drive.
• Safety package: The Civic includes a backup camera on all trims but the base DX, and LaneWatch is standard on all but the DX and LX trims. That means the lowest trims miss some of the convenience and visibility tech found higher up the range.
• Infotainment: The 7-inch touchscreen appears on trims above the LX, and HondaLink adds smartphone connectivity, apps, navigation support, and HondaLink Assist. The system also supports Siri Eyes Free with an iPhone.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada states combined fuel consumption of 7.2 L/100 km, and the road test returned 7.4 L/100 km without Econ mode engaged.

Which 2015 Honda Civic trim should I buy?

The 2015 Honda Civic is offered in 5 trim levels: DX, LX, EX, Civic Hybrid, and Civic Si.

Here's the short version:

• DX: This is the cheapest way into the Civic, but it is also the most basic. It makes sense if your priority is low purchase price and you do not need much equipment.
• LX: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more everyday usability while staying close to the entry point. If you want a sensible used Civic without stretching for extras, this is the one to focus on.
• EX: This is the sweet spot if you want the Civic to feel more modern and comfortable. The 7-inch touchscreen, HondaLink, heated front seats, automatic climate control, keyless entry, push-button start, sunroof, and alloy wheels make it the most rounded mainstream choice.
• Civic Hybrid: Choose this if efficiency is your top priority and you want the most economical version mentioned in the model range.
• Civic Si: Choose this if you want the most fun-to-drive version and care more about performance character than everyday thrift.

The backup camera is standard on all trims but the base DX, and LaneWatch is standard on all but the DX and LX trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Honda Civic?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it rewards patience and comparison shopping.

• Deal availability: 27.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 363 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.05% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $11,932 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Honda Civic's resale value?

The current average of $12,435 CAD sits slightly below last year's $12,567 CAD.

That small decline suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you as a buyer today but may temper short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. Even so, the Civic’s reputation for reliability, fuel efficiency, and value helps support steady demand. Its broad appeal and strong ownership satisfaction should continue to make it easier to move than many small cars when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Honda Civic safe?

The 2015 Honda Civic earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA and a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

The Civic comes with a backup camera standard on all trims but the base DX, and HondaLink Assist can automatically call the authorities after a collision when paired and activated. LaneWatch is standard on all but the DX and LX trims, but it is not a traditional blind-spot monitoring system, so some shoppers may prefer a more conventional setup. The lowest trims also miss some of the safety convenience equipment found higher up the range.

Should I buy a 2015 Honda Civic or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 27.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.05% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines strong value, safety, fuel efficiency, and reliability in a practical compact package.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $11,209 CAD, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $12,435 CAD average.
• It feels more refined and capable than its price point suggests.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $14,136 CAD, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $12,435 CAD average.
• It brings a bold redesign with better refinement and build quality.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, satisfaction, and proven practicality, the 2015 is the safe default. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2014 is the value play; if you want a newer-feeling Civic and can spend more, the 2016 is the upgrade path.
