The cost-effectiveness section also underscores how well this model holds its value over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Honda Civic?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Base DX and LX trims are the most affordable, while the EX Sedan adds a 7-inch touchscreen, HondaLink connectivity and services, heated front seats, automatic climate control, LaneWatch, keyless entry with push-button start, a power sunroof, automatic headlights, and alloy wheels.
• Powertrain: Most Civics use a 1.8-litre 4-cylinder engine with 143 horsepower and front-wheel drive; a five-speed manual is standard on DX, LX, and EX, while the CVT is optional on LX and EX and standard on Touring.
• Safety package: The Civic includes a backup camera on all trims but the base DX, and LaneWatch is standard on all but the DX and LX trims.
• Infotainment: Every 2015 Civic gets Bluetooth calling and text messaging, while trims above LX add the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with HondaLink smartphone connectivity and services.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada states combined fuel consumption of 7.2 litres per 100 kilometres, and the test vehicle averaged 7.4 L/100 km.

Which 2015 Honda Civic trim should I buy?

The 2015 Honda Civic is offered in 5 trim levels: DX, LX, EX, Touring, Civic Si.

Here's the short version:

• DX: This is the least expensive way into the Civic, but it leaves out the backup camera and LaneWatch, so it makes the most sense if your priority is keeping purchase price down.
• LX: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the core Civic experience with Bluetooth calling and text messaging, while keeping the price sensible.
• EX: This is the sweet spot if you want the most useful everyday upgrades, including the 7-inch touchscreen, HondaLink, heated front seats, automatic climate control, keyless entry, push-button start, and a power sunroof.
• Touring: Choose this if you want the most comfort and convenience features and are willing to pay more for them.
• Civic Si: This is the choice for drivers who want the most fun-to-drive version in the lineup.

The safety package note is simple: the backup camera is standard on all trims but the base DX, and LaneWatch is standard on all but the DX and LX trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Honda Civic?

It’s a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 25.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 358 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.56% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $11,932 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Honda Civic's resale value?

The current average of $12,330 CAD sits slightly below last year's $12,526 CAD.

That small decline suggests the market has softened a bit, which can make the Civic more attractive to used buyers today. For a future seller, it also means pricing discipline matters: a clean, well-equipped example should still draw interest, but overpricing could slow your sale. The Civic’s strong reputation for value and ownership satisfaction helps support demand over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Honda Civic safe?

The 2015 Honda Civic earns a 5-star overall rating from NHTSA and a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

The Civic comes with a backup camera standard on all trims but the base DX, and HondaLink Assist can automatically call the authorities in the event of a collision when paired and activated. LaneWatch is standard on all but the DX and LX trims, but it is not a traditional blind-spot monitoring system, so you should evaluate whether you like that setup.

Should I buy a 2015 Honda Civic or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 25.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.56% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It delivers strong reliability, safety, fuel efficiency, quality, and value in a practical compact package.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $11,184 CAD, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $12,330 CAD average.
• It feels more refined and capable than its price point suggests.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $14,066 CAD, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $12,330 CAD average.
• It brings a bold redesign with improved fashion, refinement, and build quality.

The bottom line: The 2015 is the balanced pick if you want a well-rounded Civic with strong value and broad appeal. If you’re price-sensitive, the 2014 is the cheaper route; if you want the newer redesign, the 2016 is the upgrade path.

How does the 2015 Honda Civic compare to the 2015 Toyota Corolla?

Our experts score the 2015 Honda Civic 8.7/10 and the 2015 Toyota Corolla 6.2/10.

The Civic comes across as the more complete used-car choice if you care about value, owner satisfaction, and a more engaging driving experience. The Corolla is cheaper to start, but the Civic offers stronger expert approval and a broader mix of practicality and refinement. If you want the better all-around compact car, the Civic is the stronger pick.
