The introduction of 20-inch wheels as an option, wrapped in performance tires, further emphasized the X1's sporty character. Inside, the cabin exuded a premium feel with the BMW Curved Display dominating the dashboard, complemented by SensaTec 2.0 seat coverings and a sophisticated interior design. The M Sport Package added sporty elements like bolstered seats and an M leather steering wheel, while the Premium Essential Package enhanced comfort with features like a panoramic moonroof.

In contrast, the 2023 Nissan Rogue maintained a conservative yet appealing design, with its chiseled styling and SUV detailing conveying a rugged purpose. The Rogue lineup offered various trims, with our test vehicle in the Platinum trim showcasing upscale features like diamond-pattern leather seats and a comprehensive list of amenities. The interior was spacious, accommodating four adults comfortably, though the rear seat comfort was less impressive compared to the front. The Rogue's practicality shone through with features like a hands-free power liftgate and the Divide-N-Hide cargo system, offering versatile storage solutions. However, the design of the key fob and some interior elements lacked thoughtfulness, detracting from the overall user experience.

Front-row legroom was 1,026 mm, while the rear offered 939 mm. Cargo space was generous, with 727 litres behind the rear seats and 1,619 litres with them folded. However, heated seats were an optional feature, bundled with the Premium Essential Package. The wireless charging pad was cleverly designed to secure the phone during spirited driving.
