2022 INFINITI QX60 Reviews Summary

The 2022 Infiniti QX60 is a premium midsize three-row crossover SUV sold in Canada with standard all-wheel drive (AWD) drivetrain (in Canada, front-wheel drive (FWD) is not offered). Slotting into the Infiniti SUV lineup between the two-row QX50 and the full-size three-row QX80, the QX60 aims at the “just right” area of the market with a healthy dose of luxury, technology, and driving satisfaction.

2022 Jeep Wrangler Reviews Summary

For a long time, the Jeep Wrangler represented a vehicle class of one. Where else could you get a two-door or four-door convertible with removable doors, a fold-down windshield, and go-anywhere off-roading capability wrapped in retro styling cues? Today, the Ford Bronco meets that same description and, in some ways, it's superior to the 2022 Jeep Wrangler. But we love this anachronistic throwback of an SUV anyway, warts and all, even if the overall rating appears to suggest otherwise. And a handful of changes to the 2022 Wrangler do nothing but further cement our appreciation of this formerly one-of-a-kind vehicle.

2022 Jeep Wrangler

9/10

The 2022 INFINITI QX60 underwent a comprehensive redesign, marking the beginning of its second generation. This transformation included a new exterior and interior design, updated powertrains, and advanced technologies, aligning it with its Nissan counterpart, the Pathfinder. The QX60's exterior boasted a striking appearance with a prominent grille, slim LED headlights, and chrome accents, giving it a concept-car-like look. The interior was spacious and luxurious, featuring quilted leather upholstery and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment display, emphasizing a wide and open feel. Built in Tennessee, the QX60 showcased high craftsmanship and build quality.

In contrast, the 2022 Jeep Wrangler offered a rugged and adventurous design, available in both two-door and four-door body styles. Buyers could choose from various powertrains, including a turbocharged four-cylinder, gasoline V6, turbodiesel V6, gas V8, or the Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrid. The Wrangler's design was characterized by its iconic off-road capabilities, with options for different roof styles and special editions like the High Tide model. The interior was basic but functional, with durable materials and a focus on practicality. The Wrangler's unique character and open-top design provided an immersive driving experience, appealing to those seeking adventure and freedom.

Performance

2022 INFINITI QX60

7/10

2022 Jeep Wrangler

7/10

The 2022 INFINITI QX60 featured a 3.5-litre V6 engine producing 295 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. This setup provided a smooth and refined driving experience, with improved shifting compared to the previous CVT. The QX60's suspension, with MacPherson struts in the front and an independent multilink setup in the rear, delivered a comfortable ride, while the electric power steering offered good feedback. Fuel consumption was rated at 11.9 L/100 km in the city and 9.5 L/100 km on the highway, making it a suitable choice for highway and suburban driving.

The 2022 Jeep Wrangler, equipped with a 3.6-litre V6 engine and eTorque mild-hybrid system, generated 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and Selec-Trac full-time 4WD, the Wrangler excelled in off-road conditions. However, its fuel consumption was higher, averaging 14.0 L/100 km during testing. The Wrangler's driving experience was unique, with a focus on off-road capabilities and an open-air feel. It required frequent stops at the gas station and offered a rough ride, but its adventurous spirit and ability to tackle challenging terrains made it a favourite among off-road enthusiasts.

4/10

The 2022 INFINITI QX60 offered a spacious and versatile interior, accommodating up to seven passengers across three rows. The second-row seats could slide and fold for easy access to the third row, providing ample legroom and comfort. With 411 litres of cargo space behind the third row, expandable to 2,135 litres with the seats folded, the QX60 was practical for families. It also had a towing capacity of up to 2,721 kilograms with the right equipment, making it suitable for hauling.

The 2022 Jeep Wrangler, while offering a unique driving experience, had a more utilitarian interior. Entry and exit were challenging, especially with a raised suspension, and the driving position required adjustment. The Wrangler's seats were comfortable, and the interior featured durable materials. Cargo space was limited, with 898 litres behind the rear seat, expandable to 2,050 litres with the seats folded. The Wrangler's design prioritized off-road capability over interior comfort, making it ideal for adventurous outings.
