This truck has more than I expected. To me it’s a just a bit too high in price for me to justify buying it. Beautiful truck though. May 20, 2024

Yes the truck had a good value, only thing is missing on the truck there’s no heated seats and outside mirrors defrost. The truck is really dependable.Feb 07, 2024

The Gen 2 Tacoma VVI 4.0 L cycl. motor is relatively maintenance free . Change the oil religiously every 5 to 7500 k mi. And you should expect 300,000 plus. Mi.s What the Tacoma lacks in technology and fine durable finishes it makes up in worry free workhorse performance and longevity. And perhaps moreover long-term resale value!Feb 20, 2023

The Toyota Tacoma is the benchmark when it comes to durability, reliability and resale value. These trucks hold their value so well because their owners hold onto them for so long. Its a truck that will always crank up and do what you need it to do. The 4x4 versions, especially the TRD Off-Road and TRD Pro models, have more off-road capability than most any other vehicle out there. Jun 14, 2022

Super reliable truck, never let me down and has always stayed looking good. Engine is powerful yet good for fuel economy. This truck is a good value, not missing anything. Id compare this to a Tundra with the lower 4.0L V6 option.Aug 30, 2021

I've had my Tacoma for a little over a year now and use it as my farm/work truck. It's been loaded down with lumbar, firewood, concrete, cinderblocks, you name it, I've used it to tow heavy trailers, I've had it in the mud, and I've had it on the highway. These are great all around trucks they are small enough to be easy to drive and park yet they are very robust in design. They are great off-road and have impressive towing capacity. The looks are sharp and there are tons of aftermarket parts if you want to customize them along with a very strong user community. They are extremely reliable and Toyota offer a 2 year maintenance program to cover all you basic maintenance. The four door has a spacious interior and the seats fold down for additional storage while not in use. They have plastic covers and an innovation storage compartment design behind the seat to add even more function. Needless to say I love this truck. Oct 23, 2014

There are so many things that can be done to the Toyota Tacoma. Modifications are unlimited to your requirements. The Tacoma has been a very reliable truck for me when driving to and from work, or towing a trailer across the country and in rain or shine. I am definitely buying another Toyota Tacoma in the near future.Jul 09, 2014

The truck is perfect. Small pick up trucks are the best for a utilitarian that needs it all. This truck rides great on the road and is excellent off road. The truck is unstoppable in the snow and the reliability is top notch. I get great gas mileage out of this truck, as long as I drive conservatively. Great power, the truck will tow 6500 lbs without the slightest issues. The build quality is what you expect out of a Toyota. I totally recommend this truck and will always be a Tacoma fan for life. Toyota makes the best vehicles and this truck is living proof.Dec 18, 2013

Strong engine with a responsive transmission, love the LSD. Looks great. Comes with a very good warranty. The paint job isn't that great, but they've fixed that on newer models. Gets decent fuel mileage, runs better on premium, but fine on regular. Rear suspension squeaks if not maintained properly.Sep 21, 2009

I bought my 2009 Toyota Tacoma X-Runner about two weeks ago and I love it! The ride is smooth, and the looks are great, a real head turner. The 6 speed transmission is smooth and very forgiving, I haven't driven a straight stick in awhile and was a little rough at shifting, no problem with the 6 speed. The acceleration is quick and the handling beats most sport cars I have diven in the past. I wanted a truck for hauling stuff when I need to and enjoy driving around town. This truck does both. The interior is refined but still get the feel of a truck. I think it is the best street truck on the market. You get the best of both worlds, trucking and touring. The gas mileage is not that good but mirrors other compact trucks. No regrets here!Aug 27, 2009

I absolutely love this truck. Recommend it to everyone! Wouldnt trade it for anything. Unbelievably fast for a small V6 truck and impressive pulling power. Best body style Tacoma yet. Much more room inside than ever before.13 cup holders!! Oh...Dare ya to race me!Aug 18, 2009

It is a perfect midsize truck. Great gas mileage for a truck. Big enough for the family but small enough to get around. Love the way it rides and handles. Appearance is awesome. People always double take when they see it. It has many options that can make your trick unique. I haven't seen one like mine yet. Similar ones but no exact models.Sep 28, 2008

Accelaration good for a 4-cylinder truck. i have timed 0-60mph in 9 sec. flat. i'd say it needs bigger brakes although the brakes on it are decent. it could use a stiffer front sway bar and get a rear sway bar installed.
Build quality great no manufacturer defects and i have over 25k miles on it. Maintenance cost is included in the warranty/ monthly payment/ but i added 2 inch taller tires and it makes the truck look lifted also these tires fit the truck.
Gas mileage-20 to 28 mpg empty, 13-18 mpg towing.
its a blast to drive, its zippy, good handling for a truck, good off road manners

Great small truck. It cut out at 110 mph, got 27 mpg with the 4 banger. The fit and finish was good. The steering wheel was a little low for my large thighs. There was a little wheel hop, but that is expected with no weight in the back. The truck bed composite was nice, no need to worry about rust. It handled very well on and off road (however again there was the problem of not having a locker). The ride height was good enough for most trails and activities. Also, the payload capacity is sufficient for most tasks. There are now suspension upgrades which I chose not to purchase which can modify ride height considerably. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a long lasting truck. Mar 18, 2008
