What owners say
"Overall, owners have a very positive view of the 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe. They particularly appreciate its smooth ride, roomy interior, and great handling in various weather conditions, making it a reliable family SUV. Many love the quality and comfort features, including the ample legroom and luxurious feel. On the downside, a few drivers noted that the performance could be lackluster in terms of acceleration, and some expressed concerns about fuel consumption, especially in comparison to other vehicles in its class."
amazing car feels like driving on smooth glass surface ...... built for speed with a good sense of control has a great interior space and quality have the feeling of king of the road and gets realy exciting when other envy you in it
August 6, 2009It has enough power to have the get up and go, excellent handling - especially in the snow, excellent price for quality and package. It is roomy and comfortable and I don't feel squished. The warrenty is amazing from Hyundai and I always get great service there.
September 24, 2011I've driven this SUV for the last year and a half. It handles very well in all kinds of weather conditions. During a recent snow storm, the AWD lock feature, the stability control, made it very easy to feel safe. I'd easily purchase 2 of these cars as daily drivers for my wife and I. She however drives so many miles, we're looking to get a bit better MPG. We average around 22MPG with 80% highway 20% city driving. The style is much better than most "family" cars, with easy access to the back seat/storage areas. Maintenance on the car is typical, however, 0 major issues have happened in the 60,000 miles we've put on it. Performance lacks a bit in acceleration, but it's easily overshadowed by the comfortable quiet ride. This is my second Sante Fe, and I'm open to finding another one in the future.

February 17, 2011My wife's '08 Santa Fe Limited AWD has 85,000 miles on it and has been great. Can't beat the cost, we bout it new (as a dealer demo) for $25,000 and it has Everett option including 3rd row and rear seat entertainment. Did have to have the idler pulley replaced but that was pretty cheap, other than that everything is stock including breaks (not tires). I would recommend and will look at Hyundai again when it is time to replace my old beater.
May 22, 2012Very dependable. Nice smooth ride, the wider wheel base makes it very luxurious when driving on the highway because you don't feel top heavy like in other SUVs. Excellent family care for someone who is looking for some extra room without resorting to a van or a gas hog.
January 29, 2014Comfort style and plenty of power in the 2.2 engine.
April 6, 2008The car has a very progressive styling. The car is roomy and even the rear seats have a lot of leg room and are very comfortable. The illumination (deep blue) at night and the buttons/switches are very pleasant and easy to work with. The only complaint i have at the moment is that the steering wheel does not have the radio controls on them..But, it is really not a biggie
December 2, 2014Man did I love this car. From the light in the cup holder to the light blue back light on the dash and the easy to clean upholstery. I loved everything about this car!! The extra AC adapter plugs in the back seat and trunk, The quality of the craftsmanship was unsurpassed in its class.
May 15, 2012this car is best in class for all round with 5 year warranty, inside is luxury and all the toys, electric heated leather seats, MP3, 6 disc CD, 3 zone climate, 7 seats, good sound system
January 9, 2008love it, like it alot better than my previous car which was a murano, i have every option i needed except navigation and leather, could always buy portable gps. No loss on leather cloth is better for both summer and winter.
