I had this car for lil while & needed sugary on my foot & it was a std so I needed let it go so my ex-husband bought it but what a nice lil car the only downside is I'm not sure how well it would do in a crash but still a fun car drive & I miss it now esp in summer.Aug 17, 2012

needed repairs, still needs some repairs. accelerates like crazy. needs new brakes. love the styling of these little cars. gets good gas mileage with the biggest problem it has it gets 25 to 40 miles to the gallon depending on how i drive, but that is with it idling at 2000 rpms.Apr 04, 2012

small sports car=great millage. even as an SI!!!
Performance: Fast but could have been faster. What's great about these is they're small but easy to customize and add performance modifications.
Build: Nice, but like honda, cosmetics were not the reason I bought the car.
Appearance. Black always looks good.
Cost; Barely nothing. super great (45 miles to the gallon)
This car, although not very punchy was a blast to have.Dec 10, 2009

My Civic CRX Si was a bargain when I bought it. It was beginning as a project car and the project ended when the window behind the driver's door was smashed and the stereo was stolen. Apparently, the stereo was worth 3 times what the car was and the guy just wanted it to go.
Oh, it was missing paint, a muffler and the cool rear wiper did not work. I was going to create a USDM version of the Ballade Sports CR-X with this as my block-red over silver with all the JDM parts i could fill it with-and the Si was the closest model available on our soil to the JDM Ballade Sports CR-X 1.5i.
Well, I ended up buying a 93 Accord EX manual sedan as my girlfriend was driving my toyota at the time and the a/c in my Rex wasn't working-in addition to getting a fever for an Accord EX.
The timing was a bit advanced on the engine and she went like $%& on stink. It was fun driving this car-my dad had a white one like the picture when I was a kid. That was a fun car and this is where my fascination with Honda started. I was 9 years old but I remember my dad enjoying the hell out of this car with me in the passenger seat-grabbing for the o-SCHITE bar often-especially on Riverside Dr.
It really sucked when the stupid woman in the jacked up Bronco with a lift kit ran the light at Staples and Hermitage as we were making that left onto Hermitage....they said we would have been dead if we were in the MR2 or Fiero GTS my dad looked at. I had to get things out of the car a few days later-and after seeing the car-I believe.
I have a scar on my forehead from the license plate hitting me...Dec 13, 2008

it's the original CRX, what more? Well it is one of the best looking two door coupes ever made. It is one of the few "classic" cars ever made by Honda. It has great gas mileage, acceleration and reliability. People are always asking about it as it really is a head turner, especially the red and silver ones. All CRX owners are proud of their cars.Jul 18, 2008

Never has a piece of Japanese engineering been submitted to so extensive mistreatment and violence over such a long period and still survived. Latest status is a broken steering wheel do to very rough corner handling.
If other car manufactures was building cars like this then all of us would drive cars from the 50’s.

I drove this a long time ago when I was in my teens and I thought I was on cloud-9 driving this thing...the car was so quick, could squeal its fat tires (70-series, sporty tires). I got 45 miles per gallon out of it, which I thought was amazing considering its acceleration capabilty.Mar 16, 2008

This car was always fun to drive. Even more so with the larger jap motor in there. Remember beating new nicer cars and seeing their shocked eyes always made me smile. Gas tank was sooo tiny and barely had to fill it up. Awesome at maneuvering at high speeds as well.Feb 11, 2008

Red, with lowered suspension, Borbet Wheels, Second Gen CRX Si exhaust. bought this from a co-worker to commute with. Fun little car. I almost bought one of these instead of the 84 Mustang GT for college so when he had it for sale I picked it up. I had a lot of fun driving it. It was lowered with torsion bars and the front end always bottomed out so I finally got frustrated enough to sell it. I'm not a fan of FWD car's so I'm not sure I'd buy another one although I did like it a lot. the guy that bought it worked for a stereo store in Sacramento and was going to make it into a showcar.Feb 01, 2008

Overall a fun car to drive.
The styling is very basic. The car handles like it's on rails with a suspension kit and +2 wheels.Jan 03, 2008
