What should I look for when buying a used Kia Soul?

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: For 2023, most driver-assist features are included starting at the EX trim, including forward collision avoidance assist, automatic emergency braking, lane follow assist, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
• Infotainment: A digital instrument cluster and 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system are standard on the LX, EX, and EX+ trim levels, with a 10.25-inch touchscreen with navigation on higher trims.

Which Kia Soul trim should I buy?

The 2023 Kia Soul offers these trims:

• LX: The entry trim brings the digital instrument cluster and 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with the smaller screen. It suits you if you want the most affordable way into the Soul.
• EX: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the driver-assist suite, including forward collision avoidance assist, automatic emergency braking, lane follow assist, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. It also adds a heated steering wheel.
• EX+: This trim keeps the same core equipment and adds the 10.25-inch touchscreen with navigation, wireless phone charging, and two USB centre console charge ports.
• EX Premium: This trim adds dual-zone automatic climate control and sits above the EX+ for shoppers who want more comfort-focused convenience.

What Kia Soul do most buyers choose?

The Kia Soul years with the most listings are 2020, 2019, and 2021.

These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they give you a broad mix of pricing, equipment, and availability. They also make it easier to compare listings and find the right combination of features and value.

What is the Kia Soul's resale value?

Most Kia Soul model years are showing double-digit price declines, which is good news if you are shopping used. The newer years are also falling, though by a smaller amount than several older ones, so there is still room to find value in recent models. The overall pattern points to a market where buyers can benefit from softer pricing across much of the range.

The 2014, 2022, and 2023 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Kia Soul safe?

• 2023: 6/10
• 2020: 8/10
