New & Used 2026 Volvo XC60 for Sale near Roberts Creek, BC

Is the 2026 Volvo XC60 a good car?

The 2026 Volvo XC60 earns an expert rating of 6.5/10. The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

It’s a strong fit if you want a refined compact luxury SUV with a polished, upscale cabin and a clear comfort-first identity. The updated Volvo Car UX infotainment system, 11.2-inch touchscreen, Google Gemini integration, and improved wireless smartphone charger make it feel more current, while the stylish design, premium interior materials, and comfortable seats support its premium appeal.

The trade-offs are real: the XC60 is described as sluggish, its fuel economy is poor, and its driver assistance tech is unimpressive. Even so, it remains a compelling choice if you prioritise comfort and luxury over outright performance.

21.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Volvo XC60 reliable?

The 2026 Volvo XC60 presents itself as a familiar, well-equipped luxury crossover with updated technology and standard adaptive cruise control. Volvo’s own positioning and the expert review both point to a vehicle that is meant to feel polished and easy to live with, especially if you value a premium cabin and everyday comfort.

The powertrain is a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, and the expert review notes that it delivers modest power rather than strong acceleration. The same review also says the XC60’s fuel economy is not as good as advertised, which is worth keeping in mind if you plan to own it long term.

Volvo includes a complimentary four-year connected services plan, which is a useful ownership perk. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the XC60’s ageing powertrain and less-than-stellar efficiency may make it less satisfying if you expect low running costs or brisk performance.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Volvo XC60?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The XC60 B5 is offered in Core, Plus, Ultra, and Ultra Black Edition. The Core is the entry point, while the Ultra brings the most upscale cabin details and equipment; the review also notes that the loaded Ultra can be very expensive once options are added.
• Powertrain: The B5 uses a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder with 247 horsepower, 266 pound-feet of torque, an eight-speed automatic, all-wheel drive, and a 48-volt mild-hybrid system with regenerative braking. The review says acceleration is modest and response can feel delayed.
• Safety package: Pilot Assist combines adaptive cruise control with lane centring assist, and standard safety equipment includes forward collision warning that can detect large animals, pedestrians, and cyclists, oncoming collision mitigation braking, and intersection braking assist. The review also notes that the system lacks a touch-sensing steering wheel and that there’s no hands-free highway driving or low-speed traffic jam assist.
• Infotainment: You get an 11.2-inch touchscreen, Volvo Car UX software, Google built-in, Google Maps, Google Assistant, Google Gemini, Google Play, remote app services, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Apple CarPlay requires a wired connection.
• Fuel efficiency: The official Natural Resources Canada rating is 9.0 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving, and the review recorded 9.5 L/100 km on one loop and 10.8 L/100 km on another.

Which 2026 Volvo XC60 trim should I buy?

The 2026 Volvo XC60 is offered in 4 trim levels: Core, Plus, Ultra, and Ultra Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Core: This is the entry trim, so it makes sense if you want the XC60’s design, comfort, and updated infotainment without stretching into pricier equipment. It suits you if you care more about the overall Volvo experience than luxury extras.
• Plus: This is the trim to focus on if you want a better balance of equipment and value. It should be the best-value choice for most used buyers because it sits above the base model without pushing as far into the expensive territory of the Ultra.
• Ultra: This is the most luxurious mainstream trim, with the cabin details and premium feel that define the XC60 at its best. Choose it if you want the richest interior and are willing to pay for it.
• Ultra Black Edition: This is the style-focused version of the Ultra, so it makes sense if you want the top trim’s equipment with a darker visual theme.

The XC60’s safety tech is standard across the lineup, but the review notes that the driver-assistance system is not especially impressive compared with rivals.

Is the 2026 Volvo XC60 safe?

The 2026 Volvo XC60 did not earn a Top Safety Pick or a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). It earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA and five-star ratings in each individual crash test except for rollover resistance.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

The XC60 comes with a broad set of safety features, including forward collision warning that can detect large animals, pedestrians, and cyclists, oncoming collision mitigation braking, intersection braking assist, and adaptive cruise control with lane centring assist through Pilot Assist. Volvo also offers factory-installed integrated rear booster child seats as an option.

The main caution is that the driver-assistance tech is not especially polished. The review says Pilot Assist can wander, react late in traffic, and struggle with lane markings, and the lane keep assist system can be inconsistent. There’s also no hands-free highway driving system or low-speed traffic jam assist system available.
