New & Used 2026 RAM 2500 for Sale nearPetawawa, ON

Is the 2026 RAM 2500 a good car?

Yes — the 2026 RAM 2500 earns 5/5 from owners and 7.67/10 from our experts. The standout strength is Form and function at 9/10.

It is built for you if you need serious capability rather than urban convenience, with multiple cab and bed choices, a powerful engine, and impressive towing and off-road capability. The trade-offs are clear: it is big, expensive, and hard to park in tight city spaces, and it is not a bargain as you move up the range.

With 27.6% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 RAM 2500 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2026 RAM 2500 is presented as a heavy-duty truck built to work hard, and its core appeal is that it combines stout powertrains with serious capability. The 6.4-litre Hemi V8 and available 6.7-litre Cummins turbocharged diesel give you the kind of hardware you expect in a heavy-duty pickup, and the diesel’s huge torque output is aimed at demanding towing and hauling.

Ram also positions this truck as a current, well-developed model following a major update for 2025, which helps it feel up to date without losing its work-focused purpose. For maintenance-minded buyers, the available information does not point to any special ownership perk, so long-term risk mainly comes down to the usual heavy-duty-truck realities: high purchase prices and the cost of keeping a large, complex truck in service.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 RAM 2500?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Tradesman is a no-frills workhorse with a plain matte plastic grille and black steel wheels, while the Big Horn adds chrome. Black Express adds a street-oriented look with a Sport Performance Hood, 20-inch black wheels, and black tubular side steps, but that hood reduces forward visibility more than you may like. Warlock is aimed at the off-road crowd with unique decals, a black grille surround, fender flares, bumpers, and 33-inch all-terrain tires. Laramie brings the creature comforts many truck buyers expect, while Limited and Limited Longhorn move into high-end leather interiors.
• Powertrain: Every Ram 2500 uses a 6.4-litre Hemi V8 with 405 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque, and many buyers choose the available 6.7-litre Cummins turbocharged diesel with 430 hp and 1,075 lb-ft of torque. The diesel is the better choice if you need maximum towing strength, while the Hemi feels quicker around town.
• Safety package: Adaptive steering, active lane management, drowsy driver detection, and traffic sign recognition are part of the Safety Group package. Blind spot monitoring with trailer coverage, pedestrian detection, and rear cross-traffic alert are standard on Power Wagon, Rebel, Laramie, Limited, and Limited Longhorn, but optional on Tradesman, Black Express, Warlock, and Big Horn. ParkSense parking sensors are optional on Tradesman, Black Express, and Warlock, but standard on all other trim levels.
• Infotainment: Tradesman, Black Express, Warlock, and Big Horn come with an 8.4-inch touchscreen, while Power Wagon, Rebel, and Laramie get a 12-inch unit. Top-shelf trucks have a 14.4-inch touchscreen. Uconnect 5 is standard, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and built-in navigation is optional.
• Fuel efficiency: The available information does not state fuel-consumption figures.

Which 2026 RAM 2500 trim should I buy?

The 2026 RAM 2500 is offered in 8 trim levels: Tradesman, Big Horn, Black Express, Warlock, Laramie, Rebel, Power Wagon, Limited, and Limited Longhorn.

Here's the short version:

• Tradesman: This is the no-frills workhorse, best if you want the lowest entry point and do not need much luxury equipment.
• Big Horn: This adds a bit more polish over Tradesman with chrome trim, making it a sensible step up if you want a more dressed-up truck without going too far up the price ladder.
• Black Express: This is the best-value style pick if you want a sportier look, standard 4WD, and Crew Cab availability, but you should be aware of the visibility trade-off from the hood design.
• Warlock: Choose this if you want an off-road-focused setup with all-terrain tires, skid protection, hill descent control, and standard 4WD.
• Laramie: This is the sweet spot for many buyers because it adds the creature comforts truck shoppers expect, plus the larger 12-inch infotainment screen and standard 12-inch digital instrument cluster.
• Rebel: This is another off-road-oriented choice, positioned for buyers who want that character with more equipment than the lower trims.
• Power Wagon: This is the serious off-road model, with electronic locking front and rear differentials and a disconnecting front sway bar.
• Limited: This is the luxury choice if you want high-end leather and the most upscale feel in the range.
• Limited Longhorn: This is the other top-end luxury option, with a distinct high-end leather interior finish.

Should I buy a 2026 RAM 2500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• Choose the 2026 if: 27.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Choose the 2026 if: Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Choose the 2026 if: It adds new-for-2026 Black Express and Warlock trims while keeping the truck’s core capability intact.
• Consider the 2025 if: It delivers serious capability with a more refined feel.

The bottom line: If you want the newest trim choices and a current-feeling heavy-duty truck, the 2026 is the better target. If you are more price-sensitive and mainly want the core capability, the 2025 is worth a look because it keeps the same basic appeal while potentially opening up more value-oriented shopping opportunities.
