Used 2025 Toyota 4Runner for Sale nearScarborough, ON

How much does the 2025 Toyota 4Runner cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 104 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Toyota 4Runner a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Toyota 4Runner earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Performance, Form and function, and Cost effectiveness.

It keeps the familiar 4Runner formula while adding more capability, power, comfort, and technology. It is still aimed at you if you want a solid all-terrain vehicle that can extend your adventures further, but it also feels more composed on pavement and more modern thanks to its four-cylinder powertrains.

The main trade-off is that you still have to accept some compromises in passenger room, especially in the rear seat. The standard engine is also less compelling than the hybrid if you want the strongest usable power.

With 21.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Toyota 4Runner reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 Toyota 4Runner is presented as a redesigned model that keeps the rugged character buyers expect while adding more capability, comfort, and technology. Toyota also positions it as a more refined and more efficient version of the nameplate, which supports the case for dependable everyday use as well as trail duty.

Its standard four-cylinder powertrain is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and the hybrid adds a 1.87-kWh battery pack and electric motor assistance for stronger low-speed power. Toyota’s reputation for reliability also reinforces the appeal for long-term ownership.

For used buyers, the main ownership risk is that a truck-based SUV with off-road hardware can still mean compromises in space and refinement compared with more road-focused alternatives.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Toyota 4Runner?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The design is more industrial and broad-shouldered, and the cabin uses plenty of hard plastic for durability. Base models are more basic, while higher trims add more refinement and capability.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder with 317 horsepower, or a Hybrid i-Force Max with 326 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque. The hybrid is the stronger choice if you want more low-speed punch.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard, with frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, a traffic sign reader, automatic high beams, Proactive Driving Assist, and a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert in Canada.
• Infotainment: An 8-inch touchscreen is standard, a 14-inch screen is available, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are wireless. A charging pad is also offered.
• Fuel efficiency: The standard four-cylinder is estimated at 12.4 L/100 km city, 9.6 highway, and 11.2 combined. The hybrid is estimated at 10.3 L/100 km city, 9.5 highway, and 9.9 combined.

Which 2025 Toyota 4Runner trim should I buy?

The 2025 Toyota 4Runner is offered in 8 trim levels: SR5, Limited, Platinum, TRD Off-Road Premium, TRD Pro, Trailhunter, and the hybrid variants of Limited and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• SR5: This is the entry point and the best fit if you want the lowest starting price and the core 4Runner experience without paying for extra equipment.
• Limited: This is the better choice if you want a more polished daily driver, and it is one of the trims that can be paired with full-time 4WD.
• Platinum: Choose this if you want the most upscale feel in the lineup, along with the same full-time 4WD availability.
• TRD Off-Road Premium: This is the best-value pick for many buyers because it adds serious trail capability without jumping all the way to the most expensive adventure trims.
• TRD Pro: Pick this if you want the most capable adventure-focused version in the lineup and you plan to use that hardware.
• Trailhunter: This is the most specialised overland-style choice, but the snorkel can add wind noise on road trips.
• Limited Hybrid: Choose this if you want the more efficient powertrain with a more premium trim.
• Platinum Hybrid: This is for buyers who want the hybrid powertrain and the most luxurious trim combination.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard across the lineup, and the blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert is standard in Canada.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Toyota 4Runner?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you should shop carefully and compare listings.

• Deal availability: 21.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 104 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $69,682 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Toyota 4Runner's resale value?

The current average of $71,615 CAD sits slightly below last year's $71,810 CAD.

That small decline suggests the market has been fairly stable rather than volatile. For you as a future seller, that can be a positive sign because it points to predictable pricing rather than a sharp drop in value.

The 4Runner’s strong capability, updated technology, and broad appeal should help it remain attractive to used buyers. A model year with steady pricing is often easier to resell because shoppers can understand where it fits in the market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Toyota 4Runner safe?

The 2025 Toyota 4Runner does not yet have crash test results from NHTSA or IIHS.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard, and it includes frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, a traffic sign reader, automatic high beams, and Proactive Driving Assist. In Canada, you also get a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert.

One caveat is that Proactive Driving Assist could be too intrusive for some drivers, though you can disable it.

Should I buy a 2025 Toyota 4Runner or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 21.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It brings a long-awaited redesign with more capability, power, comfort, and technology.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $57,864 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $71,615 CAD average.
• It remains a rugged, reliable off-road SUV with plenty of cargo space.

The bottom line: Choose the 2025 if you want the newer design, stronger powertrain choices, and a more modern overall package. If your priority is saving money and you can live with the older generation’s compromises, the 2024 is the more budget-friendly path.
