Used 2025 RAM 2500 for Sale near Brighton, ON

How much does the 2025 RAM 2500 cost?

Prices have softened 12.56% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 331 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 RAM 2500 a good car?

Yes — 5/5 from owners and 8.2/10 from our experts. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Form and function.

The 2025 RAM 2500 is aimed at you if you need serious heavy-duty capability, whether that means hauling, towing, off-road use, or work-duty versatility. It pairs that purpose with increasing levels of luxury and refinement, so you get a truck that feels more upscale without giving up its core job.

The trade-offs are that advanced safety features are not standard and the truck gets expensive fast. Even so, the combination of strong capability and a more polished feel makes it a compelling choice if you prioritise function first.

With 31.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, there are still some attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2025 RAM 2500 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 RAM 2500 is built around serious capability, and the expert assessment reinforces that it is meant to work hard rather than simply look the part. Its powertrain and chassis tuning are described as well suited to demanding use, and the truck’s composed ride helps it feel more settled than many heavy-duty rivals.

The performance notes also point to a well-regarded diesel option and a truck that can handle heavy loads without losing its composure. In cost-effectiveness terms, Ram’s maintenance and equipment packaging can make ownership feel more manageable if you choose the right configuration.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is cost: once you move beyond the basics, repairs, options, and diesel-equipped examples can add up quickly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 RAM 2500?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The entry Tradesman is the most basic version, while the Big Horn adds more polish, the Laramie brings the luxury features into focus, and the Limited Longhorn and Limited move further upmarket. The base trim is the one most likely to leave you without the nicer appearance and comfort touches found higher up the range.
• Powertrain: You can get the standard 6.4-litre Hemi V8 or the heavily revised turbocharged 6.7-litre Cummins inline-six diesel. The diesel is the standout for torque and towing, while the Hemi is the simpler starting point.
• Safety package: Ram’s safety suite includes forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking as standard, while park assist sensors are included on all but the base Tradesman. The optional Safety Group adds adaptive steering, active lane management, automatic high beams, drowsy driver detection, and rain-sensing wipers on Tradesman and Big Horn trucks.
• Infotainment: The base setup uses an 8.4-inch touchscreen, while higher trims and option packages bring larger displays, including a 12-inch unit and an available 14.4-inch screen. Wireless smartphone integration is included with the 12-inch touchscreen package mentioned in the cost-effectiveness notes.
• Fuel efficiency: No fuel-consumption figure is stated in the available data.

Which 2025 RAM 2500 trim should I buy?

The 2025 RAM 2500 is offered in 6 trim levels: Tradesman, Big Horn, Power Wagon, Rebel, Laramie, Limited Longhorn, and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• Tradesman: This is the work-focused starting point, and it makes the most sense if you want the truck’s core capability without paying for luxury extras. It is also the trim where the optional Safety Group matters most, since more advanced safety features are not standard here.
• Big Horn: This is the better-value step up if you want a more complete truck without jumping too far up the price ladder. It can be equipped with the Safety Group, and it is a sensible middle ground for buyers who want more comfort and convenience than the Tradesman.
• Power Wagon: This is the off-road specialist, with electronic locking front and rear differentials and a disconnecting sway bar. If you want the most serious trail capability in the lineup, this is the one to target.
• Rebel: This is the better fit if you want off-road ability but still need to tow regularly. It keeps the rugged character while being more versatile than the Power Wagon for mixed-duty use.
• Laramie: This is the best-value luxury pick if you want the cabin upgrades to start feeling genuinely upscale. It adds the larger screen, digital cluster, and more premium interior presentation without going all the way to the top.
• Limited Longhorn: Choose this if you want the most distinctive upscale cabin theme, with its cowboy-inspired interior and premium materials.
• Limited: This is the most understated luxury choice, with open-pore wood and a more refined look. It suits you if you want the highest-end feel without the Longhorn’s themed styling.

The Safety Group is the key trim-level note to keep in mind: it is optional on Tradesman and Big Horn, while the related features are standard on higher trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 RAM 2500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right truck.

• Deal availability: 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 331 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.56% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $79,488 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 RAM 2500's resale value?

The current average of $79,488 CAD sits slightly below last year's $90,906 CAD.

That softer pricing can be good news if you are buying now, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive market if prices continue to ease. A truck that is priced well today may still hold appeal later, especially if it has the right powertrain and equipment mix.

Because this model is aimed at buyers who need serious capability, well-equipped examples should continue to attract demand from shoppers who value towing strength and heavy-duty usefulness. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 RAM 2500 safe?

The 2025 Ram 2500 earns a four-star rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Ram’s safety equipment includes forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking as standard. Park assist sensors are included on all but the base Tradesman, and the optional Safety Group adds adaptive steering, active lane management, automatic high beams, drowsy driver detection, and rain-sensing wipers on Tradesman and Big Horn trucks.

A key caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard across the lineup, so you may need to move up a trim or add packages to get the full suite.

Should I buy a 2025 RAM 2500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.56% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 brings a heavily revised diesel with High Output output standard in the 2500, plus a new eight-speed automatic.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds a few noteworthy changes and an intriguing new pair of trim levels.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, proven capability, and a well-established 2025 update, this model year is the safer buy. If you are price-sensitive, the 2025 is especially worth a look because softened pricing and decent deal availability give you room to shop carefully.
