Used 2025 RAM 2500 for Sale nearAjax, ON

How much does the 2025 RAM 2500 cost?

Prices have softened 13.58% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 334 listings available, which suggests you have some room to compare trims and equipment levels.

Is the 2025 RAM 2500 a good car?

Yes — the 2025 RAM 2500 earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.17/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Form and function.

It stands out as a heavy-duty pickup for you if capability comes first, but it also brings increasing levels of luxury and refinement. The strongest appeal is its powerful engine, impressive towing capabilities, and excellent off-road ability, while the 1,075 pound-feet of torque underscores how much muscle it brings to demanding jobs.

The main trade-offs are that advanced safety features are not standard and it gets expensive fast. Even so, if you want a heavy-duty truck that feels more upscale without losing its core purpose, this one fits that brief well.

33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which is a healthy sign of market availability.

Is the 2025 RAM 2500 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 RAM 2500 is positioned as a serious capability truck, and the expert assessment reinforces that it is built for demanding work rather than light-duty convenience. Its heavy-duty hardware, strong towing focus, and composed ride for its size all point to a truck designed to handle hard use over time.

The performance notes also highlight that the diesel powertrain is well regarded, and the truck’s revised suspension helps it ride exceptionally well both loaded and unloaded. If you buy used, the biggest long-term ownership risk is that higher-spec trucks can be costly to keep and repair as equipment complexity rises.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 RAM 2500?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Tradesman is the most basic version, with cheap-looking black plastic up front unless you add chrome highlights. The Big Horn steps things up, while the Power Wagon and Rebel get unique blacked-out front-end treatment and premium finishes. Laramie is where the luxury bits really start to appear, and Limited Longhorn and Limited bring the most upscale interiors and finishes.
• Powertrain: You can get a 6.4-litre Hemi V8 with 405 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque, or the revised turbocharged 6.7-litre Cummins inline-six in High Output form with 430 hp and 1,075 lb-ft. The diesel is the big upgrade for 2025, and the Power Wagon is only offered with the Hemi V8.
• Safety package: Forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking are standard. Park assist sensors are included on all but the base Tradesman trim level. The optional Safety Group adds adaptive steering, active lane management, automatic high beams, drowsy driver detection, and rain-sensing wipers on Tradesman and Big Horn, and those features are standard on higher trims.
• Infotainment: An 8.4-inch touchscreen is standard on the two lowest trims, while a 12-inch unit is standard on Power Wagon, Rebel, and Laramie. The biggest available screen is 14.4 inches, and a 12.3-inch digital cluster starts at Laramie.
• Fuel efficiency: No fuel-consumption figure is stated in the available data.

Which 2025 RAM 2500 trim should I buy?

The 2025 RAM 2500 is offered in 6 trim levels: Tradesman, Big Horn, Power Wagon, Rebel, Laramie, Limited Longhorn.

Here's the short version:

• Tradesman: This is the work-focused starting point, and it makes the most sense if you want the lowest entry price and plan to add the equipment you need. The Level 2 Equipment Group is the key upgrade to watch for because it adds the 12-inch touchscreen, navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a nicer cloth interior, and other useful extras.
• Big Horn: This is the trim to consider if you want a step up from the base truck without jumping too far in price. It can also be paired with the Safety Group, which adds the active safety technology you’ll probably want to have.
• Power Wagon: This is the off-road specialist, with electronic locking front and rear differentials and a disconnecting sway bar. It is the best fit if trail ability matters more than towing-heavy versatility.
• Rebel: This is the better choice if you want strong off-road ability but still need to tow heavy loads regularly. It keeps the rugged character while being more balanced for mixed use.
• Laramie: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it brings the luxury and tech upgrades that make the truck feel much more premium. You get leather seating surfaces, a 12-inch touchscreen, and a 12.3-inch digital cluster.
• Limited Longhorn: Choose this if you want the most distinctive upscale interior, with its cowboy-themed cabin and premium materials. It is the most luxury-forward option in the lineup.

The Safety Group is the key trim-level safety note to keep in mind, since several advanced features are not standard on the lower trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 RAM 2500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 334 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.58% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $80,339 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 RAM 2500's resale value?

The current average of $80,339 CAD sits slightly below last year's $92,966 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the truck more attractive to used buyers today. For a future seller, it also means you may not recover as much as earlier owners did if you buy at the current average and sell again soon.

The good news is that strong capability trucks can still hold demand when they are well equipped and properly maintained. Higher-spec trims and desirable diesel models may be especially appealing to buyers who need serious towing and hauling strength.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Ram also offers optional camera technologies on every trim level, including a surround-view camera system and a Cargo View Camera.

Should I buy a 2025 RAM 2500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.58% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It brings a revised High Output diesel with 1,075 lb-ft of torque and more luxury and refinement.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds a noteworthy new pair of trim levels.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, proven capability, and a well-developed feature set, the 2025 is the safer buy. If you are price-sensitive, the 2025’s softer pricing makes it especially appealing, while the 2026 is worth a look only if those new trims better match your needs.
