Is the 2025 Lexus RX a good car?

The 2025 Lexus RX is a strong choice if you want a luxury SUV that prioritises comfort, refinement, and reliability over flashier ambitions. It is positioned as a mainstream premium option for buyers who want an upscale experience without the higher price tags of some European rivals, and it also has a reputation for holding its value.

It is especially appealing if you value everyday usability, strong fuel economy for the class, and a calm, well-rounded ownership experience. The RX’s combination of refinement and practical luxury makes it a compelling fit for shoppers who care more about comfort than aggressive driving dynamics.

With 31.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Lexus RX reliable?

The 2025 Lexus RX is presented as a comfort-first luxury SUV with a strong reputation for reliability. Lexus has long built the RX around refinement and trouble-free ownership, and that remains a core part of its appeal.

For used buyers, that generally points to lower long-term ownership risk than you might expect from a luxury SUV, especially if you want a model that is more about dependable daily use than high-strung performance.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Lexus RX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 227 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.08% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $60,093 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Lexus RX's resale value?

The current average of $60,669 CAD sits slightly below last year's $69,006 CAD.

That price movement suggests the RX has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a softer market than owners saw a year ago. Even so, the RX’s reputation for holding its value should help support resale better than many luxury SUVs. If you buy well now, you may still have a relatively strong exit position later.

Should I buy a 2025 Lexus RX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.08% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $55,507 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $60,669 CAD average.
• It focuses on comfort and refinement.

The bottom line: Choose the 2025 if you want the stronger current-market value story and are comfortable shopping a more expensive year. If you are price-sensitive, the 2024 is the better path because it delivers the RX’s core comfort-first appeal for less money.
