Is the 2025 Lexus RX a good car?

The 2025 Lexus RX is a strong fit if you want a luxury SUV that prioritises comfort, refinement, and reliability over flashier ambitions. It is aimed at buyers who value ease of use, and it also benefits from Lexus’s strong resale values, which helps offset its higher used-market pricing.

It offers a broad spread of powertrains and equipment, including hybrid and plug-in hybrid options for buyers who want efficiency without giving up luxury-SUV practicality. If you want a refined, reliable luxury SUV with good fuel economy in hybrid form and a wide range of choices, the RX makes a compelling case.

With 30.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Lexus RX reliable?

The 2025 Lexus RX is presented as a luxury SUV that puts reliability alongside comfort and refinement. That makes it especially appealing if you want a premium vehicle that is designed to be easy to live with over time.

For used buyers, that reputation can reduce long-term ownership risk compared with a less proven luxury alternative, especially if you plan to keep the vehicle for several years.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Lexus RX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 239 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.94% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $59,347 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Lexus RX's resale value?

The current average of $59,368 CAD sits slightly below last year's $68,193 CAD.

That price trend suggests the RX has become more accessible for used buyers, which can help future resale appeal if you buy at the right price. Because the model already has a reputation for strong resale values, a well-bought example should remain relatively resilient. If you pay close to the current average, though, your upside may be more limited than if you buy near the low end of the range.

Should I buy a 2025 Lexus RX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.94% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $53,811 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $59,368 CAD average.
• It focuses on comfort, luxury, and fuel efficiency.

The 2025 is the better pick if you want the newer model-year pricing context and a broader current-market selection. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2024 is worth a close look because it delivers the RX’s core strengths for less money.
