Is the 2025 Lexus RX a good car?

The 2025 Lexus RX stands out as a luxury SUV that puts comfort, refinement, and reliability ahead of flashier ambitions. It is aimed at you if you want a premium experience without the higher price tags of some European rivals, and it also balances everyday usability with upscale ownership appeal.

The RX continues with a focus on efficiency and technology, while its comfort-first tuning makes it better suited to relaxed driving than aggressive cornering. Standard safety equipment and strong fuel economy for the class add to its appeal if you value a calm, well-rounded luxury SUV.

With 36.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market gives you a decent chance to find a competitive example.

Is the 2025 Lexus RX reliable?

The 2025 Lexus RX is presented as a luxury SUV with a strong reputation for reliability, and that reputation is a major part of its appeal as a used buy. Lexus has long positioned the RX as a mainstream choice for buyers who want premium comfort and refinement with less ownership worry than many rivals.

That makes it a sensible option if you want a used luxury SUV that should be easier to live with over time. For long-term ownership, the main risk is less about outright dependability and more about paying a premium for a model that is built to prioritise comfort over excitement.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Lexus RX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 257 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.81% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $59,660 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Lexus RX's resale value?

The current average of $59,660 CAD sits slightly below last year's $68,429 CAD.

That price movement suggests the RX is currently more accessible than it was a year ago, which can help you buy with less risk of overpaying. For a future seller, the model’s strong value-retention reputation should remain a support, but today’s softer pricing means there is less room for immediate upside than there was before. If you buy well now, you may still benefit from the RX’s established used-market appeal later.

Should I buy a 2025 Lexus RX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.81% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $53,978 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $59,660 CAD average.
• It emphasises comfort and fuel efficiency.

The 2025 is the better pick if you want the newer model year and are comfortable paying more for it. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2024 is the smarter path because it delivers the RX’s core comfort-first appeal at a lower average price.
