Is the 2025 GMC Sierra 3500HD a good car?

Yes — the 2025 GMC Sierra 3500HD earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It is aimed at you if you want a heavy-duty truck that combines serious work capability with a more polished feel than you might expect from a one-ton hauler. The broad range of cab, bed, and rear-axle configurations also gives you flexibility if you need to tailor the truck to work, towing, or everyday use. 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there is still some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2025 GMC Sierra 3500HD reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 Sierra 3500HD is built around heavy-duty capability, with a clear focus on hauling and towing strength, plus a wide spread of available convenience and technology features. That combination suggests a truck designed to handle demanding use while still feeling well equipped. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is simply that a truck this large and capable can be expensive to maintain and repair if it has been worked hard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 GMC Sierra 3500HD?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to be choosy while still acting quickly on the right truck.

• Deal availability: 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 184 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.20% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $90,521 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 GMC Sierra 3500HD's resale value?

The current average of $91,545 CAD sits slightly below last year's $107,953 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more selectively today but may also mean less upside if you plan to sell soon. If you purchase at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger hit later. The truck’s strong capability and broad appeal should still help it hold interest among heavy-duty shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 GMC Sierra 3500HD or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.20% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, owner satisfaction, and heavy-duty capability, the 2025 is the one to target first. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2025 already gives you a favourable market position and plenty of capability for the money.
