Is the 2025 GMC Sierra 3500HD a good car?

Yes — the 2025 GMC Sierra 3500HD earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It is a heavy-duty truck that blends serious work capability with a more polished feel than you might expect from a one-ton hauler, and it gives you a wide range of cab, bed, and rear-axle configurations. You also get a clear split between gasoline and diesel power, plus a long list of available convenience and technology features that make it easier to live with than a bare-bones work truck.

The truck’s appeal is strongest if you want heavy-duty strength with an upscale edge, especially when you value towing capability and available comfort features in the same package. 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 GMC Sierra 3500HD reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 GMC Sierra 3500HD is presented as a truck built around serious capability, with a broad range of configurations and a clear focus on work use. Its appeal comes from combining heavy-duty strength with available technology and convenience features, which can make day-to-day ownership feel more manageable than you might expect from a truck of this size. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a vehicle built for hard work can see more demanding use than a lighter-duty truck, so condition and maintenance history matter.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 GMC Sierra 3500HD?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 174 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.79% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $90,521 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 GMC Sierra 3500HD's resale value?

The current average of $92,266 CAD sits slightly below last year's $107,027 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price more competitively than owners did a year ago. If you buy at the right number now, you may have less downside risk than someone who purchased when prices were higher. The truck’s broad appeal, especially for buyers who want heavy-duty capability with available refinement, should help support demand when it is time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 GMC Sierra 3500HD or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.79% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a heavy-duty truck with strong capability, a polished feel, and a healthy amount of shopping leverage, the 2025 is the primary year to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, you should also compare nearby model years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2025’s current market position and strong owner satisfaction.
