Is the 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD a good car?

The 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD stands out as a heavy-duty pickup built first and foremost for serious work. It offers aggressive styling, serious towing and payload capability, and a strong mix of powertrain choice and towing-focused hardware, which makes it a fit if you need maximum hauling strength rather than everyday comfort.

It also brings useful in-cab and trailering tech, including Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, a Wi-Fi hotspot, SiriusXM satellite radio, and an advanced trailering app with detailed camera views. The main trade-offs are familiar for this class: the cabins can feel basic compared with some rivals, and the truck is expensive, especially in diesel form.

With 36.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD reliable?

The 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD is presented as a purpose-built heavy-duty truck with a strong mechanical setup and a clear focus on work. Its appeal comes from its capability, powertrain choice, and towing hardware rather than from luxury or complexity.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a truck built for serious hauling can face heavier wear if it has spent its life towing or carrying maximum loads.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can be choosy if you know what configuration you want.

• Deal availability: 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 152 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.20% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $79,822 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD's resale value?

The current average of $79,827 CAD sits slightly below last year's $97,585 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy well now, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to last year's average. For resale, condition, mileage, and configuration will matter a lot in a truck like this.

Should I buy a 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD or consider a different year?

• 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
